Academic Briefing for UII IE New Students 2024

The Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Islam Indonesia held an academic briefing for the new batch of 2024 students. The event took place on Monday (9/9) at the Public Lecture Building (GKU) Prof. Dr. Sardjito UII. 

Pardiya S.T. and Anisa Nur Aini as MCs opened the series of events in the morning by reciting basmalah and reading the program schedule. This was followed by singing Indonesia Raya and UII Hymn together. Furthermore, there was a recitation of divine words by a student from the International Studies Program, Muataseem.

Ridwan Andi Purnomo

The Head of the Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program, Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM. welcomed and warmly welcomed the new students. “The breadth of our field of work requires us to be highly capable graduates. So when you all go to college, don’t just settle for lectures. At UII, there is a wide opportunity to challenge ourselves at the international level, so take advantage of it. Later, the lecturers here are ready to guide you so that you can ‘picnic’ abroad while honing our ability to get along in the international world,” he said in his speech.

The event then continued to the introduction session of lecturers majoring in Industrial Engineering. Annisa Uswatun Khasanah S.T., MBA, M.Sc led the introduction session of lecturers who will accompany students while studying at Industrial Engineering UII. Afterward, there was a group photo session.

Not to forget, Industrial Engineering UII also invited one of its alumni, Wahyu Kurniawan ST., M.Sc., MBA. from PT Pos Logistics Indonesia. He shared stories about his experience studying at Industrial Engineering UII in the past, as well as how life after graduating from college and entering the world of work later.

After alumni sharing, the event entered into a material delivery session regarding Regular S1 by the Secretary of the Undergraduate Program, Annisa Uswatun Khasanah S.T., MBA, M.Sc. She introduced various graduation schemes, collaborations, and facilities available at TI UII.

After that, there was a material presentation session about the S1 International Program by the Secretary of the International Program Study Program, Ir. Ira Promasanti Rachmadewi, M.Eng. She showed various benefits and facilities obtained when joining the International Program, starting from training / courses, university visits, and company visits both at home and abroad to provide international exposure to students. Furthermore, one of the IE IP students, Mohammed Bichara, who is also the President of IP Community UII, gave a welcoming speech to the new students.

Then, the material delivery session continued about S2, Fast Track, and Double Degree by the Head of the Master Program Study Program, Ir. Winda Nur Cahyo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. “Now, if you want to succeed, it is not enough just to run, but we need to accelerate by running faster. One of them is the fast track program at TI UII,” he explained.

After all the material was delivered, the MC guided the question and answer session. The new students expressed their curiosity about Industrial Engineering UII. Finally, the debriefing activity was completed with a quiz session with prizes.

Pembekalan Akademik Mahasiswa Baru TI UII 2024

Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Universitas Islam Indonesia mengadakan pembekalan akademik bagi mahasiswa baru angkatan 2024. Acara berlangsung pada Senin (9/9) di Gedung Kuliah Umum (GKU) Prof Dr Sardjito UII. 

Pardiya S.T. dan Anisa Nur Aini selaku MC membuka rangkaian acara pada pagi hari tersebut dengan melafazkan basmalah dan membacakan susunan acara. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya dan Hymne UII secara bersama-sama. Selanjutnya, terdapat pembacaan kalam ilahi oleh mahasiswa dari Program Studi Internasional, Muataseem.

Ketua Program Studi Program Sarjana Teknik Industri, Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM. mengucapkan selamat datang dan menyambut hangat para mahasiswa baru. “Luasnya field of work kita, menuntut kita menjadi lulusan yang mempunyai kapabilitas tinggi. Sehingga ketika adik-adik semua kuliah, jangan hanya mencukupkan diri dengan kuliah saja. Di UII terbuka luas kesempatan untuk men-challenge diri kita bergaul di level internasional, maka itu dimanfaatkan. Nanti, bapak ibu dosen di sini siap membimbing agar kalian bisa ‘piknik’ ke luar negeri sekaligus mengasah kemampuan kita untuk bergaul di dunia internasional,” ucap beliau dalam sambutannya.

Acara kemudian berlanjut ke sesi perkenalan dosen jurusan Teknik Industri. Annisa Uswatun Khasanah S.T., MBA., M.Sc memimpin sesi pengenalan dosen yang akan membersamai mahasiswa selama berkuliah di Teknik Industri UII. Setelahnya, terdapat sesi foto bersama.

Tak lupa, Teknik Industri UII juga mengundang salah satu alumninya, Wahyu Kurniawan ST., M.Sc., MBA. dari PT Pos Logistik Indonesia. Beliau berbagi cerita mengenai pengalamannya berkuliah di Teknik Industri UII dahulu, serta bagaimana kehidupan setelah lulus kuliah dan masuk ke dunia kerja nanti.

Setelah sharing alumni, acara masuk ke sesi penyampaian materi mengenai S1 Reguler oleh Sekretaris Program Studi Program Sarjana, Annisa Uswatun Khasanah S.T., MBA., M.Sc. Beliau memperkenalkan berbagai macam skema kelulusan, kerja sama, serta fasilitas yang ada di TI UII.

Setelah itu, terdapat sesi penyampaian materi mengenai S1 International Program oleh Sekretaris Program Studi Program Internasional, Ir. Ira Promasanti Rachmadewi, M.Eng. Beliau memperlihatkan berbagai keuntungan dan fasilitas yang diperoleh apabila bergabung dengan International Program, mulai dari pelatihan/course, university visit, dan company visit baik dalam maupun luar negeri untuk memberikan international exposure ke mahasiswa. Selanjutnya, salah satu mahasiswa TI IP, Mohammed Bichara, yang juga merupakan Ketua IP Community UII, memberikan welcoming speech kepada para mahasiswa baru.

Kemudian, sesi penyampaian materi berlanjut mengenai S2, Fast Track, dan Double Degree oleh Ketua Program Studi Program Magister, Ir. Winda Nur Cahyo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. “Sekarang, apabila ingin sukses tidak cukup hanya dengan berlari, tetapi kita perlu berakselerasi dengan berlari lebih cepat. Salah satunya dengan program fast track yang ada di TI UII,” jelas beliau.

Setelah semua penyampaian materi, MC memandu sesi tanya jawab. Para mahasiswa baru mengutarakan rasa penasaran mereka mengenai Teknik Industri UII. Terakhir, kegiatan pembekalan dirampungkan dengan sesi kuis berhadiah.

UII Industrial Engineering Student Achieves Best Paper Award

Industrial Engineering students of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) succeeded in making brilliant achievements in the 11th Industrial Engineering Conference 2024 (11th IDEC 2024) on (25/7). The event organized by Industrial Engineering of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) raised the theme “Acceleration of Making Indonesia 4.0: Engineering Transformation in the Era of the Latest Industrial Revolution”.

Best Paper Topic of Work System Design and Ergonomics

The first team consisted of DSKE Laboratory assistants consisting of Lulu Riesta Nugroho, Ridho Muzaik Ramadhan, Zahara Intan Wigathie, and Felix Rasyada Rafif. They won the Best Paper award for the topic of Work System Design and Ergonomics. The paper with the title “Ergonomic Analysis and Redesign of Trans Jogja Bus Stop with RULA and Anthropometry Methods” managed to attract the attention of the jury, leading them to this achievement. Guidance from lecturers Mrs. Amaria Dila, Mrs. Ratih Dianingtyas, and Mr. Chancard also played a major role in this success.

Lulu Riesta said that the preparation for the competition had begun long before registration opened, so that her team already had mature materials. “Alhamdulillah, it went well, it was fun, I gained experience too,” she said. She also added that the conference gave her the opportunity to get used to performing in public and enrich her publication experience.

Best Paper Topic Logistics and Business Systems

The second achievement was achieved by a team consisting of Data Mining laboratory assistants, namely Fajra Aqila Adesti, Sastyaviani Irami P, Ar Royyan Utama T, Nisrina Faiza Mufid, and Samaya Dhiya Salindri. Their paper entitled “Analysis of Shopping Behavior and Customer Grouping at ABC Retail Stores Using Clustering Methods” won the Best Paper award for the topic of Logistics and Business Systems. The team also received guidance from experienced lecturers, who helped them refine their paper to achieve the award.

According to Royyan, the conference was very interesting because they gained many new insights into the dynamics of industry in Indonesia from various perspectives. This made them even more determined to contribute to the industrial world in the future. They also gave a message to other students not to be afraid to try and keep trying to achieve. “Keep up the spirit, write your paper with all your intentions. Write as if writing is your passion,” said Royyan.

UII Industrial Engineering 2023 Students: A Journey of Achievements in His First Year

Ahmad Arro’uf Sulfuadi, a UII Industrial Engineering student from the 2023 batch, has made numerous outstanding achievements in his first year. Rouf, as he is commonly referred to, is known for his persistence, dedication, and clear vision. From the very beginning, Rouf has made specific plans to fulfill his academic goals and, more than just planning, has put them into action.

Rouf’s journey of achievement began soon after he officially became a UII student in August 2023. In the midst of his busy orientation schedule, Rouf, who has long been interested in energy transition, placed in the top ten of an article writing competition on climate change and energy transition concerns, held by the Hijau Indonesia Institute and the Indonesian Center for Environmental Law. Furthermore, he succeeded to the semifinals of Kampusinovatif.id‘s Business Plan competition, which featured IBISMA as a media partner.

Rouf did not stop there; he continued to expand his achievements as an outstanding student by becoming a grand finalist in ADHI ICon and won the Best Work Safety and Community Involvement award alongside his partner, Alan Salim. At the same time, his team placed fourth in the Best GFT UII category in PKM-IC and took bronze in the International Youthpreneur Competition.

University’s Support and Preparation

Rouf revealed that while preparing for the competition, he always attempted to improve his sensitivity and critical thinking toward issues and environmental situations. In addition, he was carefully taking notes and pursuing any ideas that came to him. A positive environment, with complete support from the university and study program, both in terms of guidance and financing, enhanced Rouf’s achievement. He is grateful that his presence at university has helped him build new connections. In addition, motivation comes from UII Industrial Engineering lecturers who are always willing to help and provide opportunities for growth.

Benefits and Goals

Rouf’s achievements are not only an investment in knowledge and experience for the future, but also beneficial to his daily life. He has gained confidence in talking with others, increased his writing skills, and became more able to use technology and journals. Rouf also got more solution-oriented and empathetic at dealing with the difficulties around him. Although he still feels insecure, he chooses to see his emotions positively.

“Insecurity and fear are definitely there; it’s essential for us. After all, we are still human, it’s sunnatullah. However, there is one sunnatullah that we must understand: Allah wouldn’t have created us without potential. So, don’t waste that potential. Since then and even after my college days at UII are over, I’ll continue to hold onto those dreams. With all the fear and insecurity that must be overcome. It’s okay, all is well,” said Rouf.

Rouf realizes that not everyone has the same opportunities. Therefore, he is determined to use every opportunity at college as a learning experience. He aims to continue to develop and brings benefits to himself, UII, and the community, both now and in the future. Finally, Rouf expressed his enthusiasm to his comrades, “Best wishes to all outstanding colleagues, just do what you want and you will be what you start today! InsyaAllah,  good news for what we’re working on,” He concluded.

Perjalanan Mahasiswa Teknik Industri UII 2023 dalam Mengukir Prestasi di Tahun Pertama

Ahmad Arro’uf Sulfuadi, mahasiswa Teknik Industri UII angkatan 2023 telah mencatatkan sejumlah pencapaian gemilang di tahun pertamanya. Rouf—begitu ia akrab disapa—dikenal sebagai sosok yang gigih, berdedikasi, dan memiliki visi yang jelas. Sedari awal, Rouf telah menyusun rencana matang untuk mencapai mimpinya selama masa studi. Tidak hanya berhenti pada perencanaan, ia juga menerjemahkannya menjadi langkah-langkah nyata.

Rouf memulai perjalanan prestasinya tak lama semenjak resmi menyandang status mahasiswa UII pada Agustus 2023. Di tengah padatnya kegiatan orientasi, Rouf yang telah lama tertarik pada bidang energi transisi ini berhasil meraih Top 10 dalam lomba penulisan artikel tentang isu climate change dan energy transition yang diadakan oleh Institut Hijau Indonesia dan Indonesian Center for Environmental Law. Selanjutnya, ia berhasil mencapai babak semifinal dalam kompetisi Business Plan yang diselenggarakan oleh Kampusinovatif.id bersama IBISMA sebagai media partner.

Tidak berhenti disitu, Rouf kembali mengembangkan kiprahnya sebagai mahasiswa berprestasi dengan menjadi grand finalist dalam ADHI ICon dan meraih penghargaan Best Work Safety and Community Involvement bersama rekannya, Alan Salim. Pada waktu yang sama, timnya juga meraih posisi keempat dalam kategori Best GFT UII di PKM-IC dan medali perunggu dalam International Youthpreneur Competition.

Persiapan dan Dukungan dari Kampus

Rouf mengungkapkan bahwa selama persiapannya untuk kompetisi, ia selalu berupaya meningkatkan kepekaan dan sikap kritis terhadap isu serta kondisi lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, ia disiplin mencatat dan mengembangkan setiap ide yang hadir. Lingkungan yang positif, termasuk dukungan penuh dari pihak kampus dan prodi, baik dalam bentuk bimbingan maupun pendanaan, juga mendorong pencapaian Rouf. Ia merasa bersyukur karena keterlibatannya di lingkungan kampus telah memperluas relasinya. Selain itu, inspirasi juga datang dari para dosen Teknik Industri UII yang selalu siap membantu serta menyediakan ruang untuk berkembang.

Manfaat dan Harapan

Pencapaian Rouf bukan hanya menjadi investasi ilmu dan pengalaman untuk masa depan, tetapi juga bermanfaat bagi kehidupan sehari-harinya. Ia merasa lebih percaya diri berkomunikasi dengan orang lain, kemampuan menulisnya meningkat, serta mampu memanfaatkan teknologi dan jurnal dengan lebih efektif. Selain itu, Rouf menjadi lebih solutif dan berempati dalam menghadapi masalah disekitar. Meskipun masih merasakan insecure, ia memilih untuk melihat emosi tersebut dari sisi positif.

“Rasa insecure dan takut pasti ada, itu penting bagi kita. Toh, kita masih manusia, itu sunnatullah. Namun, ada satu sunnatullah yang harus kita sadari, bahwa Allah tidak mungkin menciptakan kita tanpa potensi. Jadi, potensi itu jangan disia-siakan. Sampai sekarang dan hingga masa kuliahku di UII habis, aku masih memegang mimpi-mimpi itu dengan segala rasa takut dan insecure yang harus diatasi. It’s okay, all is well,” ungkap Rouf.

Rouf menyadari bahwa tidak semua orang memiliki kesempatan yang sama. Oleh karena itu, ia bertekad memanfaatkan setiap peluang selama kuliah sebagai proses belajar. Ia berharap dapat terus berkembang dan memberikan manfaat bagi dirinya, UII, serta lingkungan sekitar, baik sekarang maupun di masa depan. Terakhir, Rouf membagikan semangatnya kepada rekan-rekan seperjuangan, “Semangat mahasiswa hebat, just do what you want and you will be what you start today! InsyaAllah kabar baik untuk apa yang sedang kita usahakan.” tutupnya.

Industrial Engineering UII Welcome Visit from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang

On Wednesday (21/8), the Industrial Engineering Study Program at Universitas Islam Indonesia welcomed a comparative study visit from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Eleven delegates from UMM including the Head of UMM Industrial Engineering Study Program, Ir. Shanty Kusuma Dewi ST., MT. IPM., were greeted warmly by representatives of the Industrial Engineering UII. The meeting was held at room 4.04, KH Mansyur Building, UII Integrated Campus, amid an atmosphere of closeness and collaboration.

The meeting began at 1:00 PM WIB with a welcome address by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at UII, Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc., who greeted the visiting guests. This was followed by a presentation session covering topics such as the MBKM and OBE-based curriculum, National and International Accreditation, and Laboratory Development.

“We have six laboratories. So there is ERP, and a manufacturing system laboratorium. There is also industrial simulation, ergonomics, IPO–namely organizational design–and there is data mining,” He explained regarding laboratory development materials.

After the presentation session, a discussion took place involving several participants. This include representatives from the UII Industrial Engineering lectures and visiting guests. Following the presentasion session, the activity continued with an exchange of souvenirs between each universities as a symbol of reminiscence. After that, UII Industrial Engineering lecturers guided the visiting participants on a tour, showcasing the six laboratories and facilities within the department. The study visit concluded with a group photo session.

National Monthly Webinar: Circular Product Design in Recent Advancements

The UII FTI Industrial Engineering Study Program hosted another National Monthly Webinar on Friday (02/8). The fourth national webinar, titled “Circular Product Design: Principles and Recent Advances,” featured Sri Indrawati, S.T., M.Eng., as the guest speaker. The webinar focused on the ideas and characteristics of circular product design for a more sustainable future. The event was attended by 62 people online via Zoom Meeting, including UII Industrial Engineering academics and members of the general public. Nada Putri Fauziyah, the MC, began the webinar series at 09:00 WIB. Furthermore, the moderator, Sayyidah Maulidatul Afraah, S.T., M.T., provided a quick introduction by reading the speakers’ CVs before starting the material session.

In her presentation, Sri Indrawati explained that the concept of circular economy emerged as a response to many issues raised by the linear economy’s “take, make, dispose” model. These issues encouraged the development of the circular economy, an economic model that promotes a wiser and more sustainable approach by reducing consumption while increasing resource reuse. 

“In this way, we can ensure that future generations still have access to the same wealth of resources,” she said. Sri Indrawati also explained how the circular economy changes the economic paradigm to “make, use, recycle.”

Furthermore, she mentioned that Circular Product Design is the process of designing products that can operate constantly in a closed cycle. It aims to increase the product’s life cycle by reducing waste and returning raw materials and components into the system as new resources. A product is considered circular if it can keep its value throughout its life cycle and fits certain characteristics, such as being reusable, recyclable, remanufactured, refurbished, or including recycled materials. Circular products that already exist in society include products without packaging, recharging stations, and MUD Jeans, a fashion brand that offers jeans made from 40% fabric waste.

Circular Product Design

In the end, she noted that research on circular products would continue to grow, as the three main strategies of circular products—slowing, closing, narrowing—can increase the potential of achieving the SDGs. The development of circular product innovation must continue in order to create economic opportunities and a more sustainable as well as better future. She hopes that the circular product principle will be developed not only theoretically, but also practically. The moderator wrapped up the webinar with a Q&A session about circular products that are already available in society.

National Monthly Webinar: Desain Produk Sirkular dalam Kemajuan Terkini

Program Studi Teknik Industri FTI UII kembali menyelenggarakan National Monthly Webinar pada Jumat (02/08). Mengusung tema “Desain Produk Sirkular: Prinsip dan Kemajuan Terkini,” webinar nasional keempat ini menghadirkan Sri Indrawati, S.T., M.Eng., sebagai narasumber. Webinar berfokus pada pembahasan prinsip dan karakteristik desain produk sirkular untuk mencapai masa depan yang berkelanjutan. Sebanyak 62 partisipan, termasuk akademisi Teknik Industri UII dan masyarakat umum, mengikuti kegiatan ini secara daring melalui Zoom Meeting. MC, Nada Putri Fauziyah membuka rangkaian webinar pada pukul 09.00 WIB. Selanjutnya, moderator, Sayyidah Maulidatul Afraah, S.T., M.T., memberikan pengantar singkat dengan membacakan CV narasumber sebelum memasuki sesi materi.

Dalam presentasinya, Sri Indrawati menjelaskan bahwa konsep ekonomi sirkular muncul sebagai respons terhadap berbagai masalah yang muncul dari konsep “take, make, dispose” pada ekonomi linear. Permasalahan ini mendorong berkembangnya pemikiran mengenai ekonomi sirkular, yaitu sebuah model ekonomi yang menawarkan pendekatan lebih bijaksana dan berkelanjutan dengan meminimalkan konsumsi dan memaksimalkan penggunaan ulang sumber daya. 

“Dengan cara ini, kita dapat memastikan generasi mendatang masih memiliki akses terhadap kekayaan sumber daya yang sama,” ujarnya. Beliau juga menjelaskan bahwa ekonomi sirkular mengubah paradigma ekonomi menjadi “make, use, recycle.”

Selanjutnya, beliau menjelaskan bahwa Circular Product Design merujuk pada perancangan produk yang dapat terus beroperasi dalam siklus tertutup. Hal ini bertujuan memperpanjang siklus hidup produk dengan meminimalkan limbah dan mengembalikan bahan baku serta komponen ke dalam sistem sebagai sumber daya baru. Produk dikatakan sebagai produk sirkular jika dapat mempertahankan value-nya sepanjang siklus hidup serta memenuhi karakteristik, seperti reusable, recyclable, remanufactured, refurbished, atau termasuk recycled product. Contoh produk sirkular yang telah ada di masyarakat meliputi produk tanpa kemasan, stasiun pengisian ulang, dan MUD Jeans, merek fashion yang menjual jeans dengan 40% bahannya berasal dari limbah kain jeans.

Sebagai penutup, Beliau menyampaikan bahwa penelitian mengenai produk sirkular akan terus berkembang, mengingat tiga strategi utama produk sirkular—slowing, closing, dan narrowing—dapat meningkatkan potensi tercapainya SDGs. Pengembangan inovasi produk sirkular perlu dilanjutkan untuk membuka peluang ekonomi serta mencapai masa depan yang berkelanjutan dan lebih baik. Beliau berharap prinsip produk sirkular tidak hanya berkembang dalam teori, tetapi juga dalam praktik. Moderator mengakhiri webinar dengan sesi tanya jawab yang membahas seputar produk sirkular yang sudah ada dalam masyarakat.

UII Industrial Engineering Student Wins Best Student Paper at GTSD 2024

Nada Putri Fauziyah, a student of Industrial Engineering at Universitas Islam Indonesia (TI UII), won the Best Student Paper award at the International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD) 2024 by HCMC University of Technology and Education as the organizer on July 25-26, 2024 in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In this prestigious conference, Nada compiled a paper with other friends, Mutia Putri Gaisani, Prita Nurkhalisa, and Roaida Yanti with the title “Understanding Consumer Behavior and Market Segmentation using Non-Hierarchical Clustering Method: A Case Study of Café Culturehead in Yogyakarta” which raised the theme of Data Management and Machine Learning, one of the 35 themes available at the conference.

Nada’s Preparation

To prepare her presentation, Nada took about two months. “I started compiling and submitting papers since May and in June I received an acceptance notification for the opportunity to present at HCMC University of Technology and Education,” said Nada. There were two modes of presentation, offline on July 25 and online on July 26. She chose to present offline on July 25 and managed to bring home the Best Student Paper award on the same night.

Preparing for the conference was not easy. “Because I really want to participate in competitions or activities that are international, I tried to ask Mr. Qurtubi who is one of UII’s IT lecturers. There I was given several choices of international conferences, and fell on the choice of GTSD 2024. Then, Mutia and Prita and I wrote the paper together,” she said. After going through various obstacles, Nada received support from friends, family, and alumni, including Yanti as a 2019 Industrial Engineering alumni who became the fourth co-author and accompanied her to Vietnam.

Then, Nada also gave a message to other students who wanted to take part in a similar competition. “Opportunities don’t come twice. If given the time and ability to follow and try new experiences, why not? Mahasiswa Teknik Industri UII Raih Best Student Paper di GTSD 2024

Nada Putri Fauziyah, mahasiswa Teknik Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (TI UII), meraih penghargaan Best Student Paper dalam ajang International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD) 2024 oleh HCMC University of Technology and Education sebagai penyelenggara pada 25-26 Juli 2024 di Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Dalam konferensi bergengsi ini, Nada menyusun paper bersama teman lainnya, Mutia Putri Gaisani, Prita Nurkhalisa, dan Roaida Yanti dengan judul “Understanding Consumer Behavior and Market Segmentation using Non-Hierarchical Clustering Method: A Case Study of Café Culturehead in Yogyakarta” yang mengangkat tema Data Management and Machine Learning, salah satu dari 35 tema yang tersedia dalam konferensi tersebut.

Persiapan Nada

Untuk mempersiapkan presentasinya, Nada membutuhkan waktu sekitar dua bulan. “Saya mulai menyusun dan mengirimkan paper sejak bulan Mei dan pada bulan Juni saya mendapat notifikasi acceptance untuk berkesempatan presentasi di HCMC University of Technology and Education,” ujar Nada. Terdapat dua mode dalam melaksanakan presentasi, yaitu offline pada 25 Juli dan online pada 26 Juli. Ia memilih untuk melakukan presentasi secara offline pada 25 Juli dan berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan Best Student Paper pada malam yang sama.

Persiapan untuk konferensi ini tidaklah mudah. “Karena aku pingin banget ikut kompetisi atau kegiatan yang berbau international, aku mencoba buat tanya-tanya ke Pak Qurtubi yang merupakan salah satu dosen TI UII. Di sana aku dikasih beberapa pilihan conference internasional, dan jatuhlah pada pilihan GTSD 2024. Terus di situ aku sama Mutia dan Prita nyusun paper bareng” ujarnya. Setelah melalui berbagai kendala, Nada mendapat dukungan dari teman-teman, keluarga, dan para alumni, termasuk Yanti selaku alumni Teknik Industri 2019 yang menjadi co-author keempat dan ikut mendampinginya ke Vietnam.

Kemudian, Nada juga memberikan pesan kepada mahasiswa lain yang ingin mengikuti lomba serupa. “Kesempatan tidak datang dua kali. Jika diberikan waktu dan kemampuan untuk mengikuti dan mencoba pengalaman baru, why not? Jangan pernah takut untuk mencoba dan totalitas tanpa batas untuk mengharumkan nama baik UII dari Prodi Teknik Industri” pesannya. Ia juga menekankan pentingnya tidak merasa minder dengan kemampuan diri dan untuk selalu berusaha mencapai impian. Nada Putri Fauziyah telah membawa nama baik UII dan prodi Teknik Industri ke kancah internasional. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa Indonesia mampu bersaing ke tingkat global.
