The sources of inspiration in PKM-KC, among others:

  • The result of research, which reaches the stage of technical design without any tested-ready prototype yet, or else.
  • Solution over problems, the needs or challenges encountered by community, government, or business. If the result of research cannot be found as the basis of PKM-PC activity, hence applicative research that produces functional products could be employed and equalized with PKM-KC.
  • The development or the improvement of the existing product’s by demonstrating the differences.

The following conditions are unable to be categorized as PKM-KC:

  • PKM-R that has resulted in the ready-tested model, yet unable to hit 1:1 scale is still considered unfunctional.
  • Generic and specific solution for the business world is concluded in PKM-PI. But, if the solution is classified as non-generic (none of the products with identical specifications has existed in the market), hence the activity is classified as PKM-KC.

  • Each student could involve in more than 2 proposer teams, yet only allowed to involve in 2 funded teams, at the most as the chair-member or member-member. A lecturer could supervise a maximum of 10 proposals.

PKM Proposal Submission



  • Two stages are performed:
    • A first stage (1 assessor): the conformity on mandatory administration requirement, the suitability of proposal format, the suitability of selected PKM field.
    • A second stage (2 assessors): All processes that are included in the first stage + the level of program creativity that covers several aspects: topics repetition, intellectual challenge weight, and it also emphasizes the aspect of creativity/substantial


  • A Final score for proposal: the total score of both assessors in the second stage.
  • If the total reaches above passing grade, then the proposal will be funded by Belmawa.
  • University or other parties are allowed to provide the additional funds with a maximum of 25% of the Belmawa fund.
  • The stamped-notification letter addressed to Belmawa from the university is a must.


  • The alteration of team member or supervisor should be performed before the assessment of implementation progress PKM (PKP2).
  • The change of the partner for PKM-PM and PKM-PI, should be executed as soon as possible.
  • The chairman only could be replaced by the team member with the acknowledgment of the Head of the university in Student Affairs.
  • The PKM implementation should be recorded in SIMBelmawa (Logbook, progress report that is attached with proof of expenses and the evidence of implementation).



  • It could be performed online and offline depends on the condition amid the COVID-19 pandemic. If the activity is decided to be performed online, the information will be announced 2 weeks before.
  • For online purposes, the team should make the implementation and progress video to be later uploaded to YouTube.
  • The assessor of PKP 2, consists of 2 assessors from Belmawa.


  • Without a final report, the selected team will not be nominated in PIMNAS.
  • It is mandatory for PKM-GFK to upload the final report, poster, and video before PIMNAS.

The students will work at VTI company in Vietnam as the host company ( https://www.vti.com.vn/en/)
The internship duration program is 4 weeks started from November 16, 2020, through December 12, 2020.
Each student is going to work on a project within a group that collaborates with other Australian students.
The internship programs will work on AI/IoT/Mobile App/Cloud Computing projects.
An interview with the Host company will be conducted in September 2020.
The schedule of the interview will be announced later.
All awardees must commit to the completion of the internship program.
A Withdrawal in the middle of the program must be avoided.
If it finally occurs, the withdrawal will incur a penalty fee of 3x of the awarded scholarship.
Withdrawal from the program could be conducted by submitting a letter of withdrawal to IP no later than 3 days before the interview.

Kompetensi, merupakan ungkapan yang sedang trend di dunia inustri saat ini. Kompetensi menjadi salah satu indikator diterimanya calon tenaga kerja di Industri. Kiranya itulah yang diungkapkan Kalkausar Khalid SH., MM Senior HRD PT. Yamaha Indonesia dalam materi yang disampaikan pada kegiatan kuliah umum “Productivity Improvement peluang Magang di PT. Yamaha Indonesia.

Fakultas Teknologi Industri bekerjasama dengan PT. Yamaha Indonesia memasuki tahun ke 5 dalam bidang magang dosen dan mahasiswa. Saat ini mahasiswa magang yang telah di kirimkan ke PT. Yamaha Indonesia telah memasuki angka 90an dari Prodi Teknik Industri dan Teknik Mesin FTI UII. Program ini menjadi salah satu program unggulan Prodi Teknik Industri dalam rangka menyelaraskan dunia akademik dan dunis industri sehingga lulusannya mempunyai kompetensi yang cukup.

Kegiatan kuliah umum ini rutin dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman program magang di industri. Program magang untuk mahasiswa ini dilakukan selama 6 bulan dengan jumlah peserta magang tiap batch diatas 10 orang. Program magang akan di laksanakan tiap awal semester dengan syarat utama tutup teori, karena mahasiswa dalam kurun waktu 6 bulan sudah tidak dimungkinkan lagi mengambil teori, karena tugas utama mahasiswa di industri adalah mengerjakan proyek yang telah di siapkan pihak Yamaha Indonesia, ungkap Muchamad Sugarindra sebagai PIC program magang ini.

Prodi Teknik Industri saat ini bekerjasama dengan beberapa perusahaan dalam hal magang, namun kerjasama dengan PT. Yamaha Indonesia ini merupakan kerjasama yang paling intens. Simbiosis mutualisme yang kita kedepankan agar perusahaan dan dunia kerja sama-sama mendapatkan manfaat dari kegiatan magang. Manfaatkan kesempatan ini sebaik-baiknya, bahkan nanti kedepan magang akan menjadi kurikulum wajib untuk mahasiswa agar mahasiswa mempunyai kompetensi, Ungkap DR. Taufiq Immawan, ST., MM dalam sambutanya membuka kuliah umum ini.

Program magang akan dibuka tiap semester untuk seluruh mahasiswa Prodi Teknik Industri yang telah memenuhi syarat. Pengumuman akan disampaikan melalui sosial media dan website resmi Prodi Teknik Industri UII.

Dalam rangka memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pemasaran industri, pada hari Jumat tanggal 5 Juli 2019 telah diadakan Kuliah Umum Pemasaran industri Kanaba di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang berlangsung di Auditorium Fakultas Teknologi Industri. Kuliah umum ini disampaikan oleh Manajer PT Hari Mukti Teknik Yogyakarta, M. Amin Syukron, S.T, yang juga Alumni Teknik Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia. Kegiatan dibuka oleh Sekretaris Program Studi Teknik Industri, Sri Indrawati, S.T., M.Eng. Dalam sambutannya Sekprodi menekankan pentingnya link and match antara dunia kampus dan dunia usaha. Pada kesempatan tersebut Sekprodi juga mengapresiasi pembicara yang bersedia memberikan tambahan wawasan kepada para mahasiswa.

Pada kuliah umum ini pembicara menyampaikan role model pemasaran industri dan kompetensi apa yang diperlukan di lapangan kerja di era 4.0. Pembicara menjabarkan pola pemasaran existing, dukungan pemasaran existing, pola pemasaran perencanaan, dan sistem CRM/hubungan pelanggan PT Hari Mukti Teknik. Menurut pembicara, kompetensi yang dibutuhkan di lapangan kerja di era 4.0 adalah honest (jujur), atitude (sikap), menguasai teknologi (iOT), menguasai bahasa asing, sertifikasi kompetensi atas bidang keilmuan yang dimiliki, relasi yang bagus, dan fresh graduate yang memiliki kemampuan lebih dibandingkan dengan lainnya. Adapun kemampuan lain yang harus dimiliki adalah penguasaan teknologi hardware dan software, cepat memahami prosedur, dan mampu beradaptasi dengan prosedur-prosedur. Pembicara juga menanyangkan video Compro of Kanaba 2019. Di akhir kuliah umum pembicara memberikan ringkasan kepada peserta berupa tiga pesan sebagai berikut: define your challenges, set realistic expectation, keep your eye on the goal.

Sementara itu, Qurtubi, S.T., M.T. dosen pengampu mata kuliah pemasaran industri yang bertindak sebagai moderator mengatakan, kuliah umum ini diikuti oleh mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah pemasaran industri, mahasiswa teknik industri secara umum, dan perwakilan dosen Teknik Industri. Dengan mengikuti kuliah umum ini diharapkan mahasiswa dapat lebih memahami materi yang telah disampaikan di kelas, selanjutnya mahasiswa dapat mempersiapkan kompetensi di bidang pemasaran industri.

Sport engineering merupakan aplikasi teknis matematika dan fisika untuk memecahkan masalah olahraga. Bidang ini mencakup merancang peralatan, membangun fasilitas, menganalisis kinerja atlet, mengatur standar, memastikan persyaratan keselamatan terpenuhi, mengembangkan alat pelatihan, dll. (http://www.sportsengineering.org/students/what-is-sports-engineering/) Bidang ini melibatkan banyak praktisi dari sains, termasuk fisika, teknik mesin, teknik listrik, dan ilmu material.

Sport engineering masih terdengat sangat asing di Indonesia khususnya sementara di dunia barat sudah dikembangkan dalam memunculkan bibit-bibit atlet unggul yang baru di masa mendatang. Malaysia sebagai negara tetangga sudah mulai mengembangkan sport engineering seperti untuk olahraga Squash dan Sepak bola melalui pemberian hibah oleh Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga Malaysia kepada akademisi. Dibutuhkan banyak data untuk membuat suatu perangkat lunak atau peralatan yang dapat memberikan informasi apakah seorang anak dapat menjadi bintang atlet di masa mendatang. Sehingga workshop ini menjadi penting untuk dilaksanakan.

Pada tanggal 13 April 2019, Prodi Teknik Industri UII menyelenggarakan workshop dengan judul “Big Data in Sport Engineering”. Kegiatan ini di maksudkan untuk memperkaya khasanah keilmuan mahasiswa teknik industri. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa mendapat informasi baru tentang sport engineering sebagai salah satu jurusan dalam keteknikan, penelitian terkait sport engineering di Malaysia, dan data yang dibutuhkan serta metode pengumpulan datanya. Selanjutnya diharapkan akan muncul kolaborasi penelitian antara perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dan Malaysia untuk bersama-sama mengembangkan sport engineering. Pada kuliah umum ini Prodi Teknik Industri UII mengundang Dr. Zahari Taha, CEng, MIED, FASc dosen Universitas Teknologi Malaya yang mendalami bidang sport engineering sekaligus mendapatkan hibah penelitian dari Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga Malaysia terkait pengembangan sport engineering.

Workhsop ini di buka oleh Ketua Jurusan Teknik Industri. “Teknik industri UII berupaya untuk selalu meng-update keilmuan, sesuai dengan misi Teknik Industri UII bahwa kurikulum kita responsive terhadap kebutuhan industri. Sport engineering merupakan salah satu ilmu yang sangat relevan dengan kita. Dari perancangan alat, hingga ke bagaimana menganalisis big data tentang kerja atlet agar menjadi seorang atlet yang unggul. Tentu ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri, sehingga ini menjadi dasar prodi teknik industri mendatangkan para pakar untuk memberikan pengetahuan di lingkungan UII pada umumnya”. Ungkap Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Sport engineering saat ini sedang berkembang pesat di wilayah Eropa namun belum banyak ditemukan di wilayah Asia atau bahkan ASEAN. Terdapat beberapa perusahaan scouting yang merekrut seseorang, misal untuk dijadikan pemain sepak bola masa depan yang handal, dengan melihat kemampuan mereka bermain. Data yang dimiliki oleh para perekrut ini yang kemudian diolah sedemikian rupa menggunakan bantuan engineering. Sebagai contoh, dengan melihat cara seorang anak kecil mengoper bola dengan kekuatan dan teknik tertentu, seorang perekrut scouting atau pelatih dapat memprediksikan bahwa kelak ia akan menjadi pemain sepak bola berkualitas. Sport engineering membawa big data dari para expert tersebut ke dalam hal ilmiah, tidak sekedar menggunakan insting. Untuk itu patut kiranya merespon perkembangan ini dengan update keilmuan ini dengan cepat. Saya saat ini sedang mengerjakan proyek kerjasama dengan pemerintah dalam rangka mengembangkan olah raga di Malaysia dengan mengkaji “sport engineering”.
