Sharing Session Alumni bidang PPIC

Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) kembali menyelenggarakan Sharing Alumni pada Minggu (10/8). Dengan tema “Global Career Pathways for Industrial Engineers: How to Become a PPIC Specialist Abroad,” acara ini menghadirkan Muhammad Taufiq Sulistia, S.T., sebagai pembicara. Beliau merupakan perwakilan Ikatan Alumni Teknik Industri (IKATI). Kini ia merupakan bagian dari Pinehill Arabia Food Ltd, Arab Saudi sebagai Asisten Manajer. Mahasiswa dan alumni mengikuti kegiatan ini dengan antusias untuk memperoleh pengalaman langsung mengenai perjalanan karier dalam bidang Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) pada kancah internasional.

Memasuki sesi diskusi, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc., dosen Teknik Industri UII, memandu acara sebagai moderator. Pada kesempatan itu, Taufiq membagikan perjalanan kariernya hingga akhirnya memperoleh kesempatan bekerja pada perusahaan multinasional terkhusus industri makanan. Ia menekankan bahwa pengalaman kerja di Indonesia memberikan bekal penting sebelum ia melanjutkan karier ke Arab Saudi.

“Awalnya saya juga berangkat dari posisi staf biasa di Indonesia. Namun pengalaman selama dalam bidang produksi dan perencanaan memberikan peluang untuk melangkah ke level internasional,” ujar Taufiq.

Selain membagikan perjalanan karier, Taufiq juga menyoroti tantangan bekerja dalam lingkungan global. Ia menjelaskan bagaimana ia beradaptasi dengan budaya kerja baru dan memenuhi standar internasional dalam sistem produksi. Taufiq juga menceritakan pengalaman sehari-hari sebagai PPIC Specialist, mulai dari menjalankan tugas hingga menanggung berbagai tanggung jawab.

Setelah sesi materi, suasana tanya jawab berlangsung hangat dan interaktif. Peserta aktif mengajukan pertanyaan, terutama tentang tips dan strategi meniti karier global seperti yang ia jalani. Salah satu peserta menanyakan peluang untuk menempuh jalur karier serupa. Menanggapi pertanyaan itu, Taufiq menekankan pentingnya persiapan matang, mulai dari mengenali minat pribadi hingga memahami kualifikasi yang dunia industri tuntut saat ini, khususnya pada bidang PPIC.

Menutup acara, Taufiq menyampaikan pesan agar mahasiswa dan alumni Teknik Industri UII terus mengasah kompetensi. Ia menekankan perlunya penguasaan bahasa, kemampuan analisis, serta pemahaman sistem ERP sebagai kunci keberhasilan dalam pekerjaan PPIC. Melalui sharing session ini, peserta semakin terdorong untuk menyiapkan diri dalam menghadapi peluang karier global bidang teknik industri.

The Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), once again organized an Alumnus Sharing Session on Sunday (08/10). With the theme Global Career Pathways for Industrial Engineers: How to Become a PPIC Specialist Abroad,” the event invited Muhammad Taufiq Sulistia, S.T., as the main speaker. Representing the Industrial Engineering Alumnus Association (IKATI), Taufiq currently serves as an Assistant Manager at Pinehill Arabia Food Ltd in Saudi Arabia. Students and Alumnus joined the event enthusiastically, eager to gain first-hand insights into career development in the field of Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) on the international stage.

As the session moved into the discussion segment, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc., a lecturer of Industrial Engineering at UII, guided the program as moderator. During this part, Taufiq shared the milestones of his career journey, explaining how he eventually secured the opportunity to work at a multinational company, particularly in the food industry. Furthermore, he emphasized that his work experience in Indonesia provided a strong foundation before advancing his career in Saudi Arabia.

“At first, I also started as an ordinary staff member in Indonesia. However, the experience I gained in production and planning eventually opened doors for me to step into the international arena,” Taufiq explained.

In addition to outlining his career journey, Taufiq also highlighted the challenges of working in a global environment. He elaborated on how he adapted to new workplace cultures and met international standards within production systems. Moreover, he shared daily experiences as a PPIC Specialist, including the tasks he handled and the responsibilities he carried.

Following the presentation, the Q&A session unfolded in a lively and interactive atmosphere. Participants eagerly posed questions, particularly about strategies and tips for building an international career similar to Taufiq’s. For instance, one attendee asked about the opportunities to pursue the same career pathway.

In response, Taufiq emphasized the importance of thorough preparation. He explained that this process should begin with identifying personal interests. After that, students need to understand the qualifications currently required by industries, particularly in the PPIC field.

As the event came to a close, Taufiq shared a closing message for Industrial Engineering students and alumnus at UII. He encouraged them to continuously improve their competencies, emphasizing the need to master language skills, sharpen analytical abilities, and deepen their understanding of ERP systems. In addition, he advised them to deepen their understanding of ERP systems, which play a key role in PPIC roles.

Through this sharing session, participants felt more motivated. They also felt better prepared to pursue global career opportunities in the field of industrial engineering.

The Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), held another graduation preparation session on Friday (11/29). Themed “Charting Your Career Path: Building the Skills for Career Success,” the event took place in the audiovisual room 1.01 of FTI UII and was attended by 53 prospective graduates. Alumni and representatives from the Directorate of Career Development & Alumni (DPKA) UII were invited to encourage graduates to prepare for their career journey after earning their degrees.

The event began with a group photo of prospective graduates alongside the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, speakers, and faculty representatives. At precisely 1:00 PM WIB, Akmal Faiq, the master of ceremonies, opened the event with a recitation of basmallah. This was followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UII Hymn. The next agenda was a welcome speech by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., who congratulated and gave opening remarks to the prospective graduates.

“There are a few faces I still recognize, from thesis defenses to final exams. It’s extraordinary that you’ve reached this point. Congratulations on your achievements, and may this be the beginning of a blessed journey in the future!” he expressed.

Career Preparation Materials: From Workplace Expectations to the STAR Strategy

The main session began with a presentation by Mohamad Iqbal, S.T., CSCA., CPLM., an alumnus of UII’s Industrial Engineering program who now serves as the Head of Sea Freight (Domestic) at Meratus Group. He shared insights about the professional world, especially in the logistics sector, the expectations companies have for new graduates, and tips for entering the workforce through company-offered programs.

“You can kickstart your career by participating in programs provided by companies. These programs typically include intensive training, cross-divisional assignments, and evaluations to secure a permanent position, which will support your career development,” he explained.

The next session was delivered by Walid Jumlad, S.Psi., a psychologist from DPKA UII. He began his presentation by discussing the primary strengths of a university graduate, including structured thinking, critical thinking skills, and complex problem-solving abilities.

“Undergraduate graduates are at level 6 of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), encompassing analytical and managerial capabilities. Graduates are expected to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, confidence, and the courage to take initiative in the workplace,” he stated.

He also emphasized the importance of preparing CVs and interviews as the initial steps in career preparation. A CV should capture attention within the first seven seconds to engage recruiters. As for interviews, prospective graduates were advised to maintain a positive demeanor from the moment they enter the workplace. The STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result, Learning) strategy was recommended for systematically answering interview questions.

The afternoon event concluded warmly with a Q&A session.

Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FIT) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) held an online “sharing session” on Thursday (05/09) with the title “Tips & Tricks to Get Scholarships and Study Abroad.” This event presented one of the lecturers of the Industrial Engineering Study Program at FTI UII, Mrs. Suci Miranda, S.T., M.Sc., as a resource person who will leave for doctoral studies abroad.

A total of 20 participants attended to listen to the sharing session which was held at 13.15 WIB. Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc., was present as the moderator for this sharing session. This webinar began with a resource person who shared her personal data and experience when she decided to continue her studies abroad through the LPDP scholarship route.

LPDP, or Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan, is a non-echelon work unit under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia that manages education funds in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 252 of 2010. In addition, Mrs. Suci Miranda also explained how to apply for this program. She emphasized always practicing and trying to get TOEFL and IELTS scores according to the required standards.

Ms. Suci Miranda, S.T., M.Sc., emphasized preparing the necessary document requirements at least a year before applying for the LPDP program. Within a year of preparation, prospective applicants can compile portfolios and achievements to be included in the CV (Curriculum Vitae) as complementary documents.

Furthermore, she shared her experience when she joined the LPDP and PPAN programs that supported her master’s studies. This experience became a valuable moment for her to try out various opportunities available, as well as expand her network with students from various countries. “The opportunities that have been given, such as becoming an Awardee or whatever, should be celebrated. Celebrate by making sure that every step, every choice we make will have positive consequences for us,” she said. She meant that every achievement should be commemorated and appreciated.

A question-and-answer session ended this sharing of tips and tricks for winning scholarships abroad. Searching for information from various sources such as websites and social media is key to preparing oneself optimally.

Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri (FTI) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) mengadakan “sharing session” secara daring pada Kamis (05/09) dengan tajuk “Tips & Trik Raih Beasiswa dan Kuliah di Luar Negeri”. Acara ini menghadirkan salah satu dosen Prodi Teknik Industri FTI UII, Ibu Suci Miranda, S.T., M.Sc. sebagai narasumber yang akan berangkat  studi S3 di luar negeri.

Sebanyak 20 peserta hadir untuk mendengarkan sesi berbagi yang diadakan pukul 13.15 WIB. Ibu Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc.,  hadir menjadi moderator pada sharing session ini. Webinar ini diawali dengan narasumber yang menceritakan data diri dan pengalamannya ketika memutuskan untuk melanjutkan studi ke luar negeri melalui jalur beasiswa LPDP. 

LPDP atau Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan adalah satuan kerja non eselon di bawah Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia yang mengelola dana pendidikan sesuai amanat Peraturan Menteri Keuangan Nomor 252 Tahun 2010. Selain itu, ibu Suci Miranda juga menjelaskan bagaimana tahapan mendaftar pada program ini. Beliau menekankan untuk selalu berlatih dan mencoba untuk mendapatkan skor TOEFL dan IELTS sesuai persyaratan yang diminta.

Ibu Suci Miranda, S.T., M.Sc., menegaskan untuk mempersiapkan persyaratan dokumen yang diperlukan setidaknya setahun sebelum mendaftar program LPDP. Dalam setahun persiapan, calon pendaftar dapat menyusun portofolio maupun pencapaian untuk dimasukkan ke dalam CV (Curriculum Vitae) sebagai pelengkap dokumen.

Lebih lanjut, beliau berbagi pengalamannya saat mengikuti program LPDP dan PPAN yang mendukung studi S2-nya. Pengalaman ini menjadi momen berharga beliau untuk mencoba berbagai peluang yang tersedia, sekaligus memperluas jaringan dengan pelajar dari berbagai negara. “Kesempatan yang telah diberikan, seperti menjadi Awardee atau apapun, patut dirayakan. Dirayakan dengan cara memastikan tiap langkah, tiap pilihan yang kita ambil akan membuat konsekuensi positif buat kita,” ungkapannya.  Ia bermaksud setiap pencapaian harus diperingati dan dihargai. 

Sesi tanya jawab mengakhiri sesi berbagi tips dan trik meraih beasiswa di luar negeri kali ini. Banyak mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber seperti website hingga sosial media menjadi kunci dalam mempersiapkan diri secara maksimal.

On Saturday (24/08), the Doctor of Industrial Engineering (DRI) Study Program at the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FIT) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) successfully held its first sharing session. Featured the Head of the DRI UII Student Association, Dr. (cand). Ahmad Padhil, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., as speaker, the sharing session talked about Tips and Tricks for S3 Study at Doctor of Industrial Engineering, FTI UII. This activity took place online through a zoom meeting with 28 participants participating in it.

The event began at 09:00 WIB, with the MC greeting the participants enthusiastically. Following a quick introduction by the MC, the event moved on to the main agenda, which was the material delivery session. In his presentation, Ahmad Padhil discussed  several aspects related to the scheme and life of S3 lectures at DRI FTI UII, ranging from the curriculum, the number of credits, and the activities.

“In terms of aims and systems at UII, the Industrial Engineering Doctoral program’s courses are divided into progress activities that we will accomplish. This period lasts from the beginning to the end,  which is the sixth semester”, he stated, starting off a conversation regarding the flow of lectures and numerous activities throughout the semester.

Furthermore, he went through the S3 lecture method at DRI FTI UII, which offers numerous benefits to students. One example is the attendance system, which is integrated with UII Connect and allows students to fulfill academic commitments without needing to be physically present on campus. This allows for more flexibility and support for students who have structural responsibilities and other duties during the lecture session. Additionally, doctoral students have access to campus residential. DRI FTI UII also actively hosts and participates in a variety of activities, including competitions, international webinars, and collaboration with external organizations.

“Alhamdulillah we have a considerable number of activities at DRI.  Even though we work online, when we do get to Jogja, those activities can be carried out productively and to the fullest,” he said.

As the Q&A session began, Ahmad Padhil, a member of the first cohort of  DRI FTI UII students shared study tips by answering questions from the attending academic peers. The sharing session event ended with a group photo session.

Program Studi Rekayasa Industri Program Doktor Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia ( DRI UII) sukses mengadakan sharing session perdana pada Sabtu (24/08). Menghadirkan Ketua Himpunan Mahasiswa DRI UII, Dr (cand). Ir. Ahmad Padhil, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., sebagai narasumber, kegiatan sharing session ini membahas seputar Tips & Trik Kuliah S3 di Program Doktor Rekayasa Industri FTI UII. Kegiatan ini berlangsung secara daring melalui zoom meeting dengan 28 partisipan di dalamnya.

Sharing session dimulai pada pukul 09:00 WIB oleh MC yang menyapa peserta dengan hangat. Kemudian kegiatan memasuki agenda utama yaitu penyampaian materi. Dalam presentasinya, beliau mengulas berbagai aspek terkait skema dan kehidupan perkuliahan S3 di DRI FTI UII, mulai dari kurikulum, jumlah SKS, hingga aktivitas yang ada.

“Secara target dan sistem di UII, pada program Doktor Rekayasa Industri, mata kuliah dipecah menjadi kegiatan-kegiatan progres yang akan kita lakukan. Tahapan ini berlangsung dari awal hingga menuju selesai yaitu semester 6,“ ungkap beliau membuka pembahasan mengenai alur perkuliahan.

Sharing Session: Tips dan Trik Kuliah S3

Lebih lanjut beliau mengulik sistem perkuliahan S3 di DRI FTI UII yang memberikan banyak manfaat bagi mahasiswanya. Salah satu contohnya adalah sistem kehadiran yang terintegrasi dengan UII Connect sehingga mahasiswa dapat memenuhi kewajiban akademis tanpa perlu selalu hadir secara fisik di kampus. Hal ini memberikan keleluasaan dan dukungan bagi mahasiswa yang memiliki keterikatan struktural maupun tanggung jawab lain selama masa perkuliahan. Sebagai tambahan, terdapat fasilitas residensial kampus yang dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa S3. DRI FTI UII juga aktif menyelenggarakan dan berpartisipasi dalam berbagai kegiatan seperti lomba, webinar internasional, serta kegiatan kolaboratif lainnya bersama pihak eksternal.

“Nah, selain itu, kalau di DRI alhamdulillah kegiatannya lumayan banyak Bapak-Ibu. Padahal kita ini kerjanya secara daring, tapi sekali ke Jogja, kegiatan itu bisa secara produktif dilakukan dengan maksimal,” ujar beliau.

Memasuki sesi tanya jawab, Ahmad Padhil yang merupakan mahasiswa DRI FTI UII angkatan pertama ini membagikan tips perkuliahan dengan menjawab pertanyaan dari rekan-rekan akademisi yang hadir. Kegiatan siang itu ditutup dengan sesi dokumentasi bersama.
