FTI UII Welcomes Visit from SMKN 1 Buay Madang, South Sumatra

On Thursday (03/10) Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) enthusiastically welcomed the visit of 135 students and 15 accompanying teachers from SMKN 1 Buay Madang, South Sumatra. The visit took place in the Auditorium room on the 3rd floor of K.H. Mas Mansur Building and started at 13.00 WIB. 

The event was opened with a disaster mitigation show, which aims to provide an understanding of the importance of preparedness in the face of disasters. This broadcast is expected to provide new insights for students regarding the steps that need to be taken when a disaster occurs. After the show, Akbar acted as MC and guided the event with enthusiasm.

The Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc., gave a warm welcome expressing his pride for the arrival of the guests from SMKN 1 Buay Madang. He explained the importance of collaboration between the world of higher education and secondary education in preparing quality future generations. Menisissusanto, S.Pd., M.M., M.Pd., as the Principal of SMKN 1 Buay Madang, also gave a brief speech, expressing his hope that this visit could broaden the students’ knowledge about higher education and provide inspiration to pursue further education.

After the speech, the event continued with the presentation of material by Adib and Rifki, who explained the various programs and activities at the Faculty of Industrial Technology. They provided detailed information about the curriculum, facilities, and self-development opportunities offered by FTI, so that students can understand more about the academic world in college. This presentation is expected to motivate students to continue their education to a higher level.

Furthermore, the event was colored by the handover of souvenirs between the two institutions as a symbol of cooperation and good relations. In addition, the committee also showed a video profile of FTI that displays various activities, achievements, and facilities in the faculty, providing a clear picture of academic life at FTI.

The event was closed with an interactive question and answer session, where students were given the opportunity to ask questions about the material that had been delivered and life in college. This session ran with great enthusiasm, showing the students’ interest in the information provided. In closing, an ice breaking session was held to create a more intimate and fun atmosphere before the official visit ended. Students and accompanying teachers looked very satisfied and excited after attending this event, with the hope of applying the knowledge gained in their next educational journey.
