UII Student Wins 3rd Place in UNY Twibbon Design Contest

Another remarkable achievement has been earned by a student of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). This time, the pride comes from the design field, where Akmal Faiq Fadhillah Hidayat secured third place in a twibbon design competition held by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). The competition, which took place on May 13, 2025, was part of the anniversary celebration of the French Student Association at UNY, La Fête Hiper 2025.

In his story, Akmal revealed that this was not his first experience in such a competition. In fact, the previous year, he had also participated in a similar contest. Building on that experience, he returned this time with more thorough preparation and a stronger determination. Consequently, this combination enabled him to produce a design that earned him a top prize.

However, Akmal admitted that he experienced moments of doubt during the process. At times, he questioned his ability to compete. Nonetheless, the support and motivation from those around him became a driving force that helped him maintain confidence and continue creating.

“I did have moments of doubt about participating, but the positive encouragement from those close to me kept me motivated and confident throughout the process,” Akmal said. Encouraged by that support, he ultimately resolved to move forward and keep progressing in the competition.

Furthermore, Akmal expressed his gratitude and happiness for the valuable experience gained. For him, the competition was not only a platform for personal skill development, but also an opportunity to bring honor to Universitas Islam Indonesia and build networks with students from various institutions. In addition, it allowed him to challenge himself creatively.

Closing the conversation, Akmal offered advice to his fellow students not to hesitate and to keep striving in facing every challenge. He firmly believes that every process will yield results in the end. Therefore, Akmal’s achievement reflects the spirit and dedication in developing one’s potential in the chosen field. Ultimately, his determination and commitment can inspire other students to trust the process and consistently work toward their goals.
