Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Teknik Industri (IKATI)

Industrial Engineering Alumni Family Association (IKATI) is a family association community of Industrial Engineering Study alumni Programe.

HISTORY

1994-2000 The background of connecting between Industrial Engineering (TI) alumni, the Indonesian Islamic University (UII), is the figure of Muhammad Syaifudin Zuhry or commonly called Udin, a class of 1982 alumni along with several TI alumni colleagues, initiating alumni meetings in several cities in Indonesia. Continuing meetings are held regularly in both formal and informal settings such as social gathering, gathering and coffee shop chat.

Simultaneously Udin and fellow alumni explored active discussions with UII campus intellectuals such as Syafarudin Alwi from the Faculty of Economics, Hujair Sanaky from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, and Dachlan Thaib from the Faculty of Law. This discussion resulted in the idea of forming an organization called the UII Industrial Engineering Professional Alumni Association which became the forerunner to the establishment of the UII Industrial Engineering Alumni Family Association (IKATI).

2000-2008

Precisely in June 2000 together with the anniversary of the Industrial Engineering UII a grand meeting was held at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering building, Jalan Kaliurang km. 14 (now used as the FIAI building) which is attended by approximately 200 alumni from across the country. The wisdom-filled meeting due to the synergy between Alumi, the Study Program and the Student Association successfully reached an agreement to establish the UII Industrial Engineering Alumni Family Association (IKATI).

IKATI independently became part of the UII Alumni Family Association (IKA) which at that time was directed by Syafarudin Alwi. In addition to the establishment of IKATI, the meeting unanimously appointed Muhammad Syaifudin Zuhry to be the first term IKATI chairman.

Year 2008-2013
