Industrial Engineering Participated in Informatics EXPO 2025 at Pakuwon Mall Jogja

The Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) actively participated in Informatics EXPO 2025, an interactive educational exhibition open to the public. The event took place at the Society Atrium, UG floor, Pakuwon Mall Jogja, from January 10 to 12, 2025. Industrial Engineering aimed to introduce the academic world and the role of Industrial Engineering at UII to a broader audience through engaging and informative activities for visitors.

Interactive Discussion Session

One of the main highlights receiving positive responses was the Interactive Discussion Session with faculty members and students of Industrial Engineering UII, held on Friday, January 10, 2025. This session provided visitors with insights into various aspects of the Industrial Engineering Department, covering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, presented directly by the lecturers.

The discussion featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Kusrini, MT, CPIM, CSCP, SCOR_P, Ir. Winda Nur Cahyo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, and Annisa Uswatun Khasanah, S.T., M.Sc., who elaborated on topics such as What is Industrial Engineering, career prospects, and academic fields like Intelligent Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Management, which are among the focus areas of Industrial Engineering UII.

The session also allowed visitors to explore the academic atmosphere of Industrial Engineering UII through direct explanations by laboratory assistants about the department’s lab facilities. Additionally, visitors gained a deeper understanding of the life of international students at Industrial Engineering UII through a sharing session hosted by Prita Nurkhalisa M. and Ridho Muzaik Ramadhan.

Teknik Industri Hadir dalam Informatics EXPO 2025 di Pakuwon Mall Jogja

Jurusan Teknik Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) turut berpartisipasi dalam Informatics EXPO 2025, sebuah kegiatan pameran pendidikan interaktif yang terbuka untuk masyarakat umum. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Society Atrium, lantai UG, Pakuwon Mall Jogja, dari tanggal 10 hingga 12 Januari 2025. Teknik Industri hadir untuk memperkenalkan dunia akademik dan peran Teknik Industri UII kepada masyarakat luas, melalui berbagai aktivitas yang menarik dan informatif bagi para pengunjung. 

Sesi Diskusi Interaktif

Salah satu agenda utama yang mendapat respons positif adalah Diskusi Interaktif bersama dosen dan mahasiswa Teknik Industri pada Jumat, 10 Januari 2025. Sesi ini memberikan kesempatan kepada pengunjung untuk mengetahui berbagai aspek Jurusan Teknik Industri, mencakup program studi sarjana, magister, hingga doktor, dengan pemaparan langsung dari para dosen. Dalam diskusi ini, hadir Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Kusrini, MT, CPIM, CSCP, SCOR_P, Ir. Winda Nur Cahyo, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, serta Annisa Uswatun Khasanah, S.T., M.Sc., yang membahas topik seputar Apa itu Jurusan Teknik Industri, Prospek Kerja Teknik Industri hingga bidang keilmuan seperti Intelligent Supply Chain Management dan Enterprise Management yang merupakan salah satu fokus ilmu di Teknik Industri UII.

Penjelasan tentang fasilitas laboratorium oleh asisten laboratorium, memungkinkan pengunjung mengenal suasana akademik Teknik Industri UII secara langsung. Serta melihat lebih dalam kehidupan mahasiswa internasional  Teknik Industri UII bersama Prita Nurkhalisa M. dan Ridho Muzaik Ramadhan yang memandu sesi Sharing Session.

Sebagai pelengkap, stand Teknik Industri pun turut hadir di acara ini dengan berbagai kegiatan menarik seperti fun games dan pembagian merchandise eksklusif. Suasana yang interaktif dan dinamis tercipta melalui interaksi antara pengunjung dengan perwakilan Teknik Industri yang terlibat.

Sagarmatha Team Achieves Favorite Winner at OCEANO 2024

Sagarmatha team won the Favorite Winner award in the International Oil Rig Design Competition OCEANO 2024 Event. OCEANO 2024 itself is an event that aims to increase public awareness of the potential of global maritime resources through various series of competitions. The Faculty of Marine Technology, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (FTK ITS) organized the prestigious event. The competition with the theme “Pioneering innovative offshore oil platforms by enhancing structural and HSE aspects to maximize energy potential” was held for 3 days on 23-25 November 2024. 

The Sagarmatha team, consisting of Valendra Eril Erginansya, Khafiyya Aulia Istiadza, Dinda Meilia Rhepon, Manik Purbo Ulung, and Inggil Tahta Haritza, carried the concept of environmentally friendly oil rig design. They successfully created a mock-up of an oil rig to minimize oil pollution to the sea. In the competition, the mock-up must pass several stages, such as rig tests, floating tests, and motion tests with simulated artificial waves. At the rig test stage, the Sagarmatha Team’s mockup weighing 2 kg managed to support a load of up to 250 kg. However, they did not succeed in the floating test due to the unbalanced mockup design.

Preparation for this competition was challenging. From making accurate mock-ups and calculations to preparing presentations that illustrate the advantages of their designs. However, all of these challenges can be overcome well thanks to the guidance of FTI Industrial Engineering’s lecturers and mentors, namely Dian Janari, S.T., M.T., Diles Parel Lubis, S.T., M.T., and Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc. All three have a big role in achieving team success.

Ata, one of the Sagarmatha team members advised, “If the message from me is that maybe the friends are not interested in the competition. But when you participate for the first time, even though the results lose or win, you will definitely be addicted. So the key is to try first, to win or lose think later.” he said.

Tim Sagarmatha Raih Favorite Winner di OCEANO 2024

Tim Sagarmatha berhasil meraih penghargaan Favorite Winner dalam ajang International Oil Rig Design Competition OCEANO 2024. OCEANO 2024 sendiri merupakan event yang bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran publik terhadap potensi sumber daya maritim global melalui berbagai rangkaian kompetisi. Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (FTK ITS) yang menyelenggarakan ajang bergengsi tersebut. Perlombaan dengan tema “Pioneering innovative offshore oil platform by enhancing structural and HSE aspects to maximizing energy potential” tersebut terlaksana selama 3 hari pada 23-25 November 2024. 

Tim Sagarmatha, terdiri dari mahasiswa  Valendra Eril Erginansya, Khafiyya Aulia Istiadza, Dinda Meilia Rhepon, Manik Purbo Ulung, dan Inggil Tahta Haritza ini mengusung konsep desain oil rig ramah lingkungan. Mereka berhasil menciptakan maket oil rig untuk meminimalkan pencemaran minyak ke laut. Dalam perlombaan, maket tersebut harus melewati beberapa tahapan, seperti tes rig, tes floating, dan tes motion dengan simulasi ombak buatan. Pada tahap tes rig, maket Tim Sagarmatha dengan berat 2 kg berhasil menopang beban hingga 250 kg. Walaupun demikian, mereka belum berhasil pada tes floating karena desain maket yang belum seimbang.

Persiapan untuk lomba ini mereka lewati dengan penuh tantangan. Mulai dari membuat maket yang akurat dan sesuai perhitungan hingga mempersiapkan presentasi yang menggambarkan keunggulan dari desain mereka. Namun, seluruh tantangan tersebut dapat teratasi dengan baik berkat bimbingan dari dosen dan mentor Industri FTI, yakni Dian Janari, S.T., M.T., Diles Parel Lubis, S.T., M.T., dan Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc. Ketiganya memiliki peran yang besar dalam meraih kesuksesan tim.

Ata, salah satu anggota tim Sagarmatha berpesan, “Kalau pesan dari aku adalah mungkin dari teman-teman itu gak tertarik dengan lomba. Cuman saat teman-teman ikut pertama kali, walaupun hasilnya kalah atau menang, pasti kalian akan ketagihan. Jadi kuncinya adalah coba dulu, masalah menang atau kalahnya pikirin belakangan, gitu.” ungkapnya.

Selamat kepada tim Sagarmatha atas prestasi ini! Semoga menjadi inspirasi bagi generasi-generasi berikutnya.

Expo Big Project DPTI 2024: UII Industrial Engineering Students Showcase Sustainable Innovations

The Manufacturing Systems Laboratory (SIMAN), Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), once again hosted the EXPO Big Project DPTI 2024. A total of 69 teams of Industrial Engineering students from FTI UII participated in this event, which serves as the culmination of the Basic Industrial Engineering Design (DPTI) course practicum. In this Expo, participants were challenged to create, design, and develop innovative products, showcasing the application of the knowledge they have acquired throughout their studies.

EXPO BIG PROJECT DPTI 2024

With the theme “Beyond Green: Exploring Sustainable Solutions and Innovations,” the Expo was held on Friday (01/03) with great enthusiasm. Hosted at the Hall of K.H. Mas Mansyur Building, each team displayed their product designs, which were divided into several categories: Enhancing Lives, Preserving Dignity, Nurturing The Earth, and Ensuring Health. Through engaging media, visitors were not only able to view the students’ innovative works but also interact directly with the participants to understand the product designs and their development processes.

Dinda Meilia Rhepon, a SIMAN Laboratory assistant and the person in charge of this event, expressed her gratitude and excitement over the success of the Expo.

“Alhamdulillah, the DPTI Big Project 2024 Expo ran smoothly. All participants were enthusiastic, showcasing their posters and presenting impressive animated videos. Hopefully, the products developed through this Big Project can be further advanced, compete in other competitions, and inspire the new students,” she said.

Dinda also mentioned that the excitement of the Expo would continue the following day with the Top 10 Presentation. In this stage, the top 10 teams would present their products directly, to be evaluated by a panel of judges.

TOP 10 PRESENTATION

The Top 10 Presentation took place on Saturday (01/04) in the Auditorium Room on the 3rd floor of the K.H. Mas Mansyur Building. The event began with an opening ceremony hosted by Manik Purbo Ulung and Fildzah Shabrina as MCs, followed by a welcome speech from the Head of the SIMAN Laboratory, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc.

The program continued with presentations by each of the top 10 teams. The presentations were attended and evaluated by three invited lecturers serving as judges: Ir. Abdullah ‘Azzam, S.T., M.T., IPM, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc., and Didin Dwi Novianto, S.T., M.LSCM. Following the enthusiastic presentation sessions, the announcement of winners became the highlight of the Expo Big Project DPTI 2024. Awards included 1st Winner, 2nd Winner, and 3rd Winner, along with special awards for categories such as Best Poster, Best Animation, and Favorite Winner.

One of the award-winning product designs was the Aqua Purifier Touch (APT) by team DD-5. This product offers a water sanitation solution utilizing dew and rainwater as the main components. The applied filtration process produces clean water suitable for use, particularly in regions facing water scarcity.
“Our product is designed to assist areas with limited access to clean water, providing a practical solution to future sanitation challenges,” explained Azzahra Febriana, a member of team DD-5.

Azzahra also shared her experiences during the Expo, stating that the process was not easy from the beginning until the day of the event. Through this Expo, Azzahra and her team learned to develop creative ideas addressing societal issues in line with the chosen theme.

This activity serves as one of the platforms provided by the Industrial Engineering Department at FTI UII for students to nurture their creativity. Through the Big Project, students are encouraged to create solutions that are not only technology-based but also considerate of environmental issues.

Expo Big Project DPTI 2024: Mahasiswa Teknik Industri FTI UII Tampilkan Inovasi Berkelanjutan

Laboratorium Sistem Manufaktur (SIMAN), Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII),  kembali menyelenggarakan EXPO Big Project DPTI 2024. Sejumlah 69 tim mahasiswa Teknik Industri FTI UII mengikuti acara ini yang merupakan puncak rangkaian praktikum mata kuliah Dasar Perancangan Teknik Industri (DPTI). Dalam Expo ini, para peserta ditantang untuk menciptakan, merancang, dan mendesain produk-produk yang inovatif, sebagai wujud penerapan ilmu yang telah mereka pelajari selama perkuliahan. 

EXPO BIG PROJECT DPTI 2024

Mengusung Tema “Beyond Green: Exploring Sustainable Solutions and Innovations“, kegiatan Expo berlangsung dengan meriah pada Jumat (03/01). Berlokasi pada Hall Gedung K.H Mas Mansyur, setiap tim memamerkan rancangan produk mereka yang terbagi ke dalam beberapa kategori, seperti Enhancing Lives, Preserving Dignity, Nurturing The Earth, dan Ensuring Health. Dengan berbagai media yang menarik, pengunjung tidak hanya dapat melihat karya inovatif para mahasiswa, tetapi juga berinteraksi langsung dengan praktikan untuk memahami rancangan produk serta proses pembuatannya.

Dinda Meilia Rhepon, asisten Laboratorium SIMAN sekaligus PIC kegiatan ini, menyampaikan rasa syukur dan antusiasmenya atas pelaksanaan Expo.

“Alhamdulillah, Expo DPTI Big Project 2024 ini berjalan lancar. Semua praktikan terlihat antusias, membawa poster masing-masing, dan menampilkan video animasi yang keren. Harapannya, produk-produk yang mereka buat dalam Big Project ini bisa lebih dikembangkan, menjadi lebih advance, dan bahkan dapat dilombakan, sekaligus menginspirasi teman-teman mahasiswa baru,” ujarnya. 

Dinda menambahkan bahwa keseruan Expo Big Project DPTI akan berlanjut keesokan harinya dengan Top 10 Presentation. Pada tahap ini, kelompok yang berhasil masuk 10 besar akan mempresentasikan produk mereka secara langsung, yang kemudian akan dinilai oleh dewan juri.

TOP 10 PRESENTATION

Acara Top 10 Presentation berlangsung pada Sabtu (04/01) di Ruang Auditorium Lantai 3 Gedung K.H. Mas Mansyur. Acara dimulai dengan pembukaan yang dipandu oleh Manik Purbo Ulung dan Fildzah Shabrina sebagai MC, yang dilanjutkan dengan sambutan dari Kepala Laboratorium SIMAN, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc. 

Setelahnya, memasuki acara pemaparan dari masing-masing tim yang berhasil masuk dalam jajaran 10 besar. Presentasi ini dihadiri dan dinilai oleh tiga dosen undangan yang bertindak sebagai dewan juri, yaitu Ir. Abdullah ‘Azzam, S.T., M.T., IPM, Putri Dwi Annisa, S.T., M.Sc., dan Didin Dwi Novianto, S.T., M.LSCM. Setelah sesi presentasi yang berlangsung dengan penuh antusiasme, momen pengumuman pemenang menjadi puncak acara Expo Big Project DPTI 2024. Penghargaan yang diberikan meliputi 1st Winner, 2nd Winner dan 3rd Winner. Penghargaan khusus juga diberikan kepada tim yang menunjukkan keunggulan di kategori lain, seperti Best Poster, Best Animation dan Favorite Winner.

Salah satu rancangan desain produk yang berhasil membawa penghargaan pada kesempatan kali ini adalah Aqua Purifier Touch atau disingkat APT karya tim DD-5. Produk ini menawarkan solusi sanitasi air dengan memanfaatkan embun dan air hujan sebagai komponen utama. Proses filtrasi yang diterapkan menghasilkan air bersih yang layak digunakan, terutama untuk wilayah yang mengalami krisis air. “Produk kami dirancang untuk membantu daerah-daerah dengan keterbatasan akses air bersih, sehingga dapat menjadi solusi praktis untuk menghadapi tantangan sanitasi di masa depan,” jelas Azzahra Febriana, salah satu anggota tim DD-5.

Lebih lanjut, Azzahra juga berbagi pengalamannya selama mengikuti EXPO Big Project DPTI. Ia mengungkapkan bahwa proses mengikuti Expo ini tidaklah mudah, mulai dari awal hingga hari pelaksanaan. Melalui kegiatan Expo ini, Azzahra dan tim belajar mengembangkan ide-ide kreatif dengan mengangkat berbagai permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat, sesuai tema yang telah ditentukan. 

Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu platform yang disediakan oleh Teknik Industri FTI UII bagi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan kreativitas mereka. Melalui Big Project, para mahasiswa diajak untuk menciptakan solusi yang tidak hanya berbasis teknologi, tetapi juga memperhatikan isu-isu lingkungan sekitar.

Expo Big Project DOI 2024: Innovations by UII Industrial Engineering Students for SMEs

The Laboratory of Innovation and Organizational Development (IPO) under the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Islam Indonesia (FTI UII), has once again held the Expo Big Project DOI 2024. This annual event is part of the practical course series for Industrial Organization Design (DOI), participated by 93 teams of Industrial Engineering students from FTI UII. Through this activity, students are encouraged to collaborate directly with Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the community. They are challenged to identify the problems faced by SMEs and formulate innovative solutions using the design thinking approach as a tangible application of the knowledge they have learned.

Expo Big Project DOI 2024

The series of activities kicked off with the expo on Friday (03/01). The event was held at the Hall of K.H. Mas Mansyur Building, starting at 8:00 AM WIB and was open to the general public. During the expo, each team showcased their solution designs using media that attracted visitors’ attention. Visitors not only observed innovative projects but also interacted directly with the students to understand the processes behind each solution.

One of the participants, Reza Ibrahim, shared his experience during the Expo Big Project DOI 2024.

“Alhamdulillah, I have participated in the expo several times, and each time I feel excited because we get to showcase the results of what we have worked on throughout the semester. Additionally, we also get to see other incredible projects from our peers,” he said enthusiastically.

On this occasion, Reza and his team collaborated with a garment SME to offer a solution in the form of a real-time recording system through an application they developed. He hopes that events like this will continue to be held in the coming years as a platform to enhance the creativity of Industrial Engineering students at FTI UII.

TOP 10 PRESENTATION

The series of activities did not end there; it continued with the next event, the Top 10 Presentation, held on Tuesday (08/01) in the Auditorium on the 3rd Floor of the K.H. Mas Mansyur Building. The event began with an opening hosted by Andi Nurulyunisa P. and Dimas Rizky D. as the MCs, followed by a speech from the Head of the IPO Laboratory, Wahyudhi Sutrisno, S.T., M.M., M.T.

The main agenda featured presentations by each of the top 10 teams. These presentations were attended and evaluated by three invited lecturers serving as judges: Nashrullah Setiawan, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Yuli Agusti Rochman, S.T., M.Eng.; and Wahyudhi Sutrisno, S.T., M.M., M.T.

After an enthusiastic session of presentations, the announcement of the winners became the highlight of the Expo Big Project DOI 2024. Team B-9 won the 1st Winner award with an innovative solution in the form of an application called Monetz. In the 2nd Winner position, Team E-7 impressed the judges with their solution, a website called Pullsphere. Meanwhile, Team A-11, with their innovation titled UMKM Bengkel Budi Jaya Motor, secured the 3rd Winner position.

Special awards were also given to teams that excelled in other categories. Team E-9, addressing issues from Aleta Leather SMEs, received the Best Presentation award, while the Favorite Expo award was presented to Team B-8 with their project titled Next Laundry.

Mumtaz Fahd R, one of the IPO laboratory assistants who attended the Top 10 Presentation, expressed his appreciation for the event. “This activity serves as a platform for students to engage directly with the community and address real-world problems, especially in the SME sector. I hope this event will continue in future periods to bring more beneficial innovations from the younger generation,” he stated.

Graduation Preparation Batch II: Preparing for Careers as Prospective Graduatestes

The Industrial Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), held another graduation preparation session on Friday (11/29). Themed “Charting Your Career Path: Building the Skills for Career Success,” the event took place in the audiovisual room 1.01 of FTI UII and was attended by 53 prospective graduates. Alumni and representatives from the Directorate of Career Development & Alumni (DPKA) UII were invited to encourage graduates to prepare for their career journey after earning their degrees.

The event began with a group photo of prospective graduates alongside the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, speakers, and faculty representatives. At precisely 1:00 PM WIB, Akmal Faiq, the master of ceremonies, opened the event with a recitation of basmallah. This was followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UII Hymn. The next agenda was a welcome speech by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., who congratulated and gave opening remarks to the prospective graduates.

“There are a few faces I still recognize, from thesis defenses to final exams. It’s extraordinary that you’ve reached this point. Congratulations on your achievements, and may this be the beginning of a blessed journey in the future!” he expressed.

Career Preparation Materials: From Workplace Expectations to the STAR Strategy

The main session began with a presentation by Mohamad Iqbal, S.T., CSCA., CPLM., an alumnus of UII’s Industrial Engineering program who now serves as the Head of Sea Freight (Domestic) at Meratus Group. He shared insights about the professional world, especially in the logistics sector, the expectations companies have for new graduates, and tips for entering the workforce through company-offered programs.

“You can kickstart your career by participating in programs provided by companies. These programs typically include intensive training, cross-divisional assignments, and evaluations to secure a permanent position, which will support your career development,” he explained.

The next session was delivered by Walid Jumlad, S.Psi., a psychologist from DPKA UII. He began his presentation by discussing the primary strengths of a university graduate, including structured thinking, critical thinking skills, and complex problem-solving abilities.

“Undergraduate graduates are at level 6 of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), encompassing analytical and managerial capabilities. Graduates are expected to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, confidence, and the courage to take initiative in the workplace,” he stated.

He also emphasized the importance of preparing CVs and interviews as the initial steps in career preparation. A CV should capture attention within the first seven seconds to engage recruiters. As for interviews, prospective graduates were advised to maintain a positive demeanor from the moment they enter the workplace. The STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result, Learning) strategy was recommended for systematically answering interview questions.

The afternoon event concluded warmly with a Q&A session.

Ungkap Strategi Sukses dalam Mengelola Kualitas dan Risiko Proyek

Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Universitas Islam Indonesia kembali menghadirkan seorang Project Management Specialist, Ir. Sigit A. Wibowo, ST., MSM., PMP., IPM., ASEAN Eng., dalam acara Kuliah Tamu Manajemen Proyek #3 pada (30/11). Kegiatan dengan tema “Project Quality & Project Risk Management Sesuai MPMP” itu terselenggara secara online dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 170 orang. Agenda ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta bagaimana mengelola kualitas dan risiko proyek sesuai standar MPMP agar dapat mendukung upaya meningkatkan performansi proyek secara keseluruhan.

Syawarani Gayatri selaku MC membuka rangkaian kuliah tamu dengan mempersilakan perwakilan dari team teaching mata kuliah Manajemen Proyek, Elanjati Worldailmi, S.T., M.Sc., menyampaikan sambutan hangatnya. “Semoga acara hari ini lancar dan bermanfaat. Dan menjadi gambaran pembelajaran, pemahaman bagi semua sehingga nanti sudah tahu nih kira-kira nanti di dunia kerja kalau kebetulan kecemplungnya di project management, ya sudah ada gambaran juga,” ujar beliau.

Project Quality Management

Selanjutnya, Zahwa Putri Aghniya selaku moderator mengambil alih untuk memandu jalannya sesi penyampaian materi oleh Ir. Sigit A. Wibowo, ST., MSM., PMP., IPM., ASEAN Eng., yang membahas terkait konsep kualitas dan Quality Management Processes, meliputi Plan Quality Management, Manage Quality, dan Control Quality. “Nah, yang pertama, Quality Management di proyek ini dia berangkat dari konsep PDCA. Jadi kalau teman-teman pernah belajar mutu kualitas mutu, ya, ada yang namanya Plan-Do-Check-Action Cycle. Merencanakan, mengerjakan, kemudian action cycle-nya ini kita coba cek apakah standar policy yang sudah diterapkan sesuai dengan kualitas yang sudah dikerjakan,” jelasnya.

Selain itu, dalam Project Quality Management menurut PMBOK, terdapat dua hal penting yang menjadi perhatian, yakni proses dan produk. Kedua hal tersebut menjadi fokus utama dalam pengendalian kualitas. Quality Control berhubungan dengan produk, sementara Quality Assurance berhubungan dengan proses. Konsep ini juga menekankan pentingnya melakukan tindakan preventif untuk menghindari rework. Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mengurangi biaya yang terkait dengan cost of inspection atau non-conformance.

Project Risk Management

Kemudian, sesi berlanjut pada materi Project Risk Management. Diskusi ini mencakup beberapa tahapan penting, yaitu Plan Risk Management, Identify Risk, Risk Register, dan Plan Risk Responses. Beliau menjelaskan bahwa risiko pada dasarnya merupakan ketidakpastian yang belum terjadi. Hal tersebut berbeda dengan problem, yang merupakan kondisi nyata dan pasti terjadi. Lalu, beliau juga menerangkan terkait Risk Management Plan, yang mencakup strategi, metodologi, aturan dan tanggung jawab, alokasi dana, serta timing, yakni kapan risiko dapat terjadi dan bagaimana penanganannya.

“Risk Management Plan merupakan komponen atau dokumen yang berisi guidance, bagaimana kita meng-handle sebuah risiko. Risk Management Plan ini adalah part dari Project Management Plan. Nah, kita akan tahu, nih, tingkat atau degree kepastiannya, tipe risiko, dan kemungkinan untuk terjadi sebuah risiko dalam proyek kita,” terangnya. Setelahnya, sesi pengerjaan quiz game oleh para peserta merupakan penutup dari acara kuliah tamu terakhir terkait manajemen proyek pada semester ini.

Siap Dampingi UMKM, Teknik Industri UII Resmikan Akademi UMKM

Pada Rabu (13/11), Teknik Industri Fakultas Teknologi Industri (FTI) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) menggelar Grand Opening Akademi UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah). Kegiatan ini menjadi lanjutan dari program pendampingan UMKM yang telah berjalan sebelumnya. Acara berlangsung di pelataran Gedung Akademi UMKM Teknik Industri UII, sebelah barat Gedung KH Mas Mansyur, dan dihadiri oleh Wakil Dekan Bidang Sumber Daya FTI UII, Dr. Ir. Agus Mansur, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., IPU., Ketua Jurusan Teknik Industri FTI UII, Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc., Sekretaris Jurusan Teknik Industri, Dr. Taufiq Immawan, S.T., M.M., serta perwakilan Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (DISPERINDAG), Dwi Wulandari, S.T., M.Ec.Dev., selaku Kepala Bidang Perindustrian dan Herry Murthala. Kegiatan ini beragendakan Grand Opening Akademi UMKM yang dilanjut dengan kelas pelatihan untuk 43 UMKM yang hadir.

Tepat pukul 09.00 WIB, MC membuka acara, kemudian hadirin mendengarkan pembacaan ayat suci Al-Qur’an dan menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan Indonesia Raya. Mata acara selanjutnya adalah sambutan dari Wakil Dekan FTI UII. Dalam sambutannya, beliau menyampaikan ucapan selamat atas peresmian Akademi UMKM Teknik Industri serta berharap program ini dapat bekerja sama dengan UMKM dalam upaya mendorong kemajuan dan perkembangan masyarakat.

“Alhamdulillah atas Grand Opening Akademi UMKM hari ini. Melalui akademi ini, harapannya Teknik Industri mampu mendampingi UMKM dan menjadi support system berkelanjutan bagi UMKM ke depannya. Akademi ini akan memberikan pelatihan untuk membantu UMKM meraih standarisasi produksi dan manajemen, sehingga dapat meningkatkan daya saing serta kesejahteraan.,” ungkap beliau.

Selanjutnya, perwakilan DISPERINDAG menyampaikan sambutan dengan antusias terhadap peresmian Akademi UMKM dan menyatakan kesiapan untuk berkolaborasi bersama Teknik Industri UII.

“Senang sekali kami mempunyai partner dalam membina UMKM. Kehadiran Akademi UMKM ini memberikan harapan baru kepada kami, Bapak/Ibu. Terlebih kami juga memiliki Rumah Kreatif Sleman yang siap berkolaborasi dengan Teknik Industri UII dalam mendampingi UMKM,” ungkapnya.

Memasuki mata acara utama, yakni Grand Opening Akademi UMKM, kegiatan ditandai dengan prosesi pemotongan pita yang dilanjutkan dengan pemotongan tumpeng oleh Sekretaris Jurusan Teknik Industri sebagai simbol peresmian. Jajaran pimpinan Teknik Industri FTI UII serta perwakilan dari DISPERINDAG mendampingi.

Pelatihan UMKM

Akademi UMKM

Usai Grand Opening Akademi UMKM, acara selanjutnya merupakan sesi pelatihan, dosen Teknik Industri membawakan materi untuk para UMKM yang hadir. Pelatihan ini terbagi menjadi dua kelas, yakni Digital Marketing yang berlangsung pada ruang Akademi UMKM dan Product Design yang berlangsung pada Learning Space 2 FTI UII.

Chancard Basumerda, S.T., M.Sc., menyampaikan materi Materi kelas Digital Marketing yang membahas strategi pemasaran untuk meningkatkan penjualan dan brand awareness melalui pemanfaatan media digital. Sementara itu, Ir. Abdullah ‘Azzam, S.T., M.T., IPM., memandu kelas Product Design dengan topik Robust Design. Materi ini menjelaskan metode untuk mengembangkan produk yang bertujuan meningkatkan kinerja produk agar sesuai harapan sekaligus meminimalkan dampak dari faktor-faktor yang tidak dapat dikendalikan.

UMKM yang hadir mengikuti kelas pelatihan ini dengan antusias. Harapannya, melalui Akademi UMKM ini, Teknik Industri UII dapat terus berkontribusi dalam mendukung kemajuan UMKM dengan pendampingan berkelanjutan.
