Plan Your Journey: Briefing for UII Industrial Engineering Graduates

The Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) held a briefing session for  graduates of the April 2025 period on Thursday (24/4). Carrying the theme “Plan Your Professional Journey with Purpose,” the event took place in the IPO Lab, FTI Laboratory Building. This briefing served as the final program provided by the major before the students were officially conferred their degrees. Through this event,  graduates were equipped with the readiness to bear the title of bachelor and step into the professional world.

The event began with a group photo session between the  graduates and Industrial Engineering lecturers, followed by an opening by M. Imam Baihaqi as the MC. On this occasion, Annisa Uswatun Khasanah, S.T., M.Sc., delivered a speech on behalf of the lecturers. She expressed pride in the achievements of the  graduates and shared a message encouraging them to continue spreading inspiration and positive energy to others. “Please spread every good thing you experience,” she conveyed, closing her remarks with prayers and best wishes for all the soon-to-be graduates.

Career Coaching

The event continued with a Career Coaching session led by Walid Jumlad, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, a practitioner from the Career Development and Alumni Directorate. In this session, graduates were guided to understand the increasingly dynamic and borderless world of work. They were also reminded to bring added value as Ulil Albab individuals into their professional journeys. In addition to discussing career trends and tips for navigating competition, the session included a live CV review of one participant’s resume. Here, participants learned firsthand how to craft a concise, impactful, and attractive CV in the eyes of recruiters.

Sharing Session with Industrial Engineering Alumni

The next session featured a sharing session with UII Industrial Engineering alumnus Digdoyo Oktapriandi, S.T., M.T., CIPM. He is a professional currently working at WG PLC as a Customer Experience Quality Auditor for the Asia Pacific, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), and North America regions. Digdoyo shared his career journey, from university days to achieving success at the global level. He emphasized the importance of building a strong CV, gaining organizational experience during college, and being prepared to seize international opportunities. He also highlighted that having a wide network is crucial in today’s professional world.

Furthermore, Digdoyo shared advice for  graduates, especially in facing the transition into the professional world. He reminded them to always maintain high self-motivation and uphold the principle of continuous improvement. “A small improvement every day is better than a massive improvement all at once. Aim for a 1% improvement each day,” he said. With this mindset, he believes that graduates will be able to grow and excel in their professional careers.

This briefing session is expected to provide essential preparation for  graduates as they embark on their future journeys. Congratulations to all  graduates — keep soaring higher!
