Pada Sabtu (22/07), Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (FTI UII) mengadakan kunjungan industri di Ungaran, Semarang. Acara ini diikuti oleh sekitar 245 mahasiswa Teknik Industri dari Angkatan 2020 dan 2021. Program study tour ini merupakan fasilitas penunjang dan pengembangan ilmu bagi mahasiswa FTI UII. Kunjungan industri dilakukan ke dua perusahaan, yaitu PT. Nissin Biscuit Indonesia dan PT. Ungaran Sari Garment (USG), yang berfokus pada produksi kue kering dan produksi fashion import.

Kunjungan industri ini didampingi oleh beberapa pembimbing, antara lain Ir. Hartomo, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN.Eng, Ir. Abdullah ‘Azzam, S.T., M.T., IPM., Suci Miranda, S.T., M.Sc., Danang Setiawan, S.T., M.T., Pardiya, S.T., dan Heri Susilo, S.Pd.T. Pembukaan acara dilakukan oleh Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM, selaku Ketua Program Studi Teknik Industri FTI UII.

Kunjungan industri ini menjadi sarana bagi mahasiswa untuk mengenal dunia kerja dan menggunakan metode pembelajaran aktif (active learning method). Setiap kunjungan dimulai dengan office visit di PT. USG dan diakhiri dengan sesi diskusi tanya jawab. Para peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk melihat langsung proses produksi dan mengunjungi gudang bahan baku (warehouse), serta mengetahui tahapan mengoperasikan dan menjahit produk baju hingga proses packaging.

Dalam sambutannya, Danang Setiawan, S.T., M.T. selaku pembimbing berharap kunjungan industri ini dapat memberikan manfaat dan peluang kerjasama, seperti magang bagi mahasiswa Teknik Industri UII di PT. Ungaran Sari Garment. “Diharapkan dengan kunjungan seperti ini bisa membuka peluang kerjasama antara pihak universitas terutama Teknik Industri UII dan perusahaan/instansi yang dikunjungi. Misalnya, dengan melakukan sebuah penelitian bersama, atau bahkan berkolaborasi membuka kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk magang di PT. Ungaran Sari Garment,” harapnya.

Peserta kunjungan industri menunjukkan antusiasme dan mendapatkan wawasan baru, seperti tentang produksi Uniqlo yang sebelumnya dianggap sebagai produk impor, namun ternyata bahan bakunya dibuat di Indonesia di PT. USG.

Selanjutnya, kunjungan industri dilakukan di PT. Nissin Biscuit Indonesia di Ungaran. Peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk melihat proses produksi dan Quality Control dari produk Nissin. Selain itu, peserta juga diberikan fasilitas istirahat dan kesempatan untuk membeli produk langsung dari pabrik PT. Nissin Biscuit Indonesia.

Ketua Pelaksana, Lingsang Jallu Yudistira, menyampaikan bahwa acara ini berjalan dengan lancar. Ia berharap kunjungan industri ini dapat membantu mahasiswa Teknik Industri FTI UII, terutama dalam mata kuliah Pengendalian dan Penjaminan Mutu, untuk lebih memahami dunia kerja dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan pada bidang terkait industri.

Program Studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (FTI UII) menyelenggarakan pembekalan bagi calon wisudawan secara tatap muka (luring) di Learning Space FTI UII pada Kamis (27/07). Acara ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan dan memberi bekal kepada mahasiswa yang akan segera memasuki dunia kerja maupun melanjutkan studinya.

Acara yang berlangsung pada siang hari itu diawali dengan pembukaan oleh MC, yang kemudian diikuti dengan menyanyikan lagu Indonesia Raya dan Hymne UII bersama-sama. Selanjutnya, acara dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan kalam ilahi yang dilantunkan oleh Pardiya, S.T.

Pada awal acara, Ir. Muhammad Ridwan Andi Purnomo, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM selaku Ketua Program Studi Teknik Industri Program Sarjana Fakultas Teknologi Industri memberikan sambutan dan menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada para calon wisudawan yang hadir. Beliau berharap bahwa dengan adanya acara ini dapat memberikan modal yang cukup bagi para mahasiswa untuk menghadapi dunia nyata setelah lulus kuliah..

“Semua yang telah kita lalui merupakan proses. Proses untuk membentuk kita untuk menjadi seorang sarjana. Seorang sarjana itu berbeda pola pikirnya dengan lulusan SMA atau Akademi. Itulah mengapa prodi kita mempunyai suatu formulasi khusus yang harus dipenuhi oleh semua mahasiswa, karena kita ingin lulusan kita memiliki profil sesuai dengan yang telah ditetapkan dalam profil lulusan kita,” ungkapnya.

Acara kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan materi oleh Ahmad Syihabuddin Zankie, S.T., dengan judul “Berani Memulai”. Selain itu, beliau juga membagikan berbagai ilmu dan pengalaman dari pertama kali lulus kuliah hingga berada pada posisinya saat ini, yaitu sebagai seorang Co-Founder dan CEO.

Ia menyampaikan bahwa sebagai lulusan S1, seorang fresh graduate harus mampu mengenali diri dan potensi serta memiliki hard skill untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Ia juga menawarkan beberapa platform yang dapat memfasilitasi tes MBTI untuk mengenali diri dengan beberapa tipe kepribadian. Pada akhir penyampaian materi, dilakukan sesi tanya jawab untuk berdiskusi mengenai pandangannya terhadap pertimbangan bagi mahasiswa, apakah sebaiknya langsung terjun di dunia kerja atau melanjutkan S2 terlebih dahulu.

“Lebih baik melanjutkan S2 sambil magang atau bekerja atau mengambil kelas karyawan, karena ini akan memperluas relasi dan berbagi ilmu dengan teman-teman yang sudah memiliki pengalaman kerja. Daripada langsung melanjutkan S2 setelah lulus S1, karena suasana yang didapatkan akan sama seperti kuliah S1, di mana belum ada pengalaman praktik. Tetapi keputusan ini kembali lagi kepada kebutuhan masing-masing individu,” menurutnya.

Setelah itu, acara dilanjutkan dengan pengumuman mahasiswa yang meraih IPK tertinggi, yang Denis Orlando dengan angka 3,88 beserta penyerahan simbolis oleh Amarria Dila Sari, S.T., M.Sc selaku Sekretaris Program Studi Teknik Industri Program Sarjana. Terakhir, acara tersebut ditutup sesi foto bersama calon wisudawan, dosen, dan narasumber.

Dengan terselenggaranya acara pembekalan ini, diharapkan para mahasiswa merasa lebih siap menghadapi masa depan mereka entah dalam dunia kerja maupun melanjutkan studi, dan menjadi lulusan yang berkualitas sesuai dengan visi dan misi Program Studi Teknik Industri, FTI UII.

Pada Jumat (23/6/2023), telah dilaksanakan acara MILAD hari jadi Teknik Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia ke-41. Tahun ini, acara MILAD diadakan di depan gedung Fakultas Teknologi Industri dan dimulai pada pukul 15.00 hingga 19.00. Acara ini dihadiri oleh para dosen, karyawan, alumni, serta mahasiswa aktif Teknik Industri UII. Kegiatan MILAD diawali dengan sambutan oleh Bapak Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo selaku Ketua Jurusan Teknik Industri, sambutan Prof. Dr. Ir. Hari Purnomo, M.T., IPU., ASEAN.Eng selaku Dekan Fakultas Teknologi Industri, kemudian disusul dengan penyampaian kesan pesan dari para pendiri Teknik Industri yang diwakili oleh Bapak  Drs. Mohammad Ibnu Mastur, MSIE dan alumni Teknik Industri.

Kegiatan kedua yaitu pelepasan burung merpati oleh beberapa dosen sebagai simbol kebebasan dan keberhasilan yang telah dicapai oleh Jurusan Teknik Industri. Setelah pelepasan burung merpati, para hadirin disuguhkan oleh pentas musik dari mahasiswa dan Dosen Teknik Industri. Serangkaian acara menarik juga diadakan seperti pembuatan koreografi TI UII 41 dan makan bersama keluarga besar Teknik Industri UII.

Dalam ulang tahun ke-41 Teknik Industri UII, kita dapat mengenang kembali sejarah perjuangan berdirinya Teknik Industri dan mengapresiasi kontribusinya dalam perkembangan industri melalui peran keluarga Teknik Industri baik Dosen, Mahasiswa, Alumni, Pendiri, karyawan, dan pihak- pihak lainnya.

The Implementation of PKM-PI

PKM-KC

  • Topic: Unlimited, the most recent topics are preferable
  • Title: Avoid the acronym, unstandardized abbreviation, maximum 20 words.
  • The objective: to shape students’ ability to create something new and functional on the basis of the intention and common sense.
  • The product might not provide direct benefit, but not imitate the existing products.
  • It is allowed to modify the principle or feature of an existing product.

The sources of inspiration in PKM-KC, among others:

  • The result of research, which reaches the stage of technical design without any tested-ready prototype yet, or else.
  • Solution over problems, the needs or challenges encountered by community, government, or business. If the result of research cannot be found as the basis of PKM-PC activity, hence applicative research that produces functional products could be employed and equalized with PKM-KC.
  • The development or the improvement of the existing product’s by demonstrating the differences.

The following conditions are unable to be categorized as PKM-KC:

  • PKM-R that has resulted in the ready-tested model, yet unable to hit 1:1 scale is still considered unfunctional.
  • Generic and specific solution for the business world is concluded in PKM-PI. But, if the solution is classified as non-generic (none of the products with identical specifications has existed in the market), hence the activity is classified as PKM-KC.

PKM-GFK

  • Topic: SDGs
  • Title: Avoid the acronym, unstandardized abbreviation, maximum 20 words
  • Objective: to motivate students’ participation in managing imagination, perception, and common sense, to figure out the futuristic yet constructive management as the effort to accomplish the objective of SDGs in Indonesia and to find the solution on Indonesian apprehension.

 

PKM-AI

  • Topic: Unlimited, the most recent topics are preferable
  • Title: Avoid the acronym, unstandardized abbreviation, maximum 20 words.
  • The objective: to provide students with experience in composing the scientific writing originated from the group activity in the field of education, research and community service.

PKM – GT

  • Topic: Unlimited, the most recent topics are preferable
  • Title: Avoid the acronym, unstandardized abbreviation, maximum 20 words.
  • The objective: to enhance students’ imagination in responding to the challenges.
  • Characteristics: A concept of transformation and/or development from the various aspects, such as nation, futuristic, long-term, that has a potency to be objectified.

 

STAGES OF PKM 2021

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

  • Each student could involve in more than 2 proposer teams, yet only allowed to involve in 2 funded teams, at the most as the chair-member or member-member. A lecturer could supervise a maximum of 10 proposals.

PROPOSAL ASSESSMENT

 

  • Two stages are performed:
    • A first stage (1 assessor): the conformity on mandatory administration requirement, the suitability of proposal format, the suitability of selected PKM field.
    • A second stage (2 assessors): All processes that are included in the first stage + the level of program creativity that covers several aspects: topics repetition, intellectual challenge weight, and it also emphasizes the aspect of creativity/substantial

PROPOSAL FUNDING

  • A Final score for proposal: the total score of both assessors in the second stage.
  • If the total reaches above passing grade, then the proposal will be funded by Belmawa.
  • University or other parties are allowed to provide the additional funds with a maximum of 25% of the Belmawa fund.
  • The stamped-notification letter addressed to Belmawa from the university is a must.

THE IMPLEMENTATION AND PROGRESS REPORT

  • The alteration of team member or supervisor should be performed before the assessment of implementation progress PKM (PKP2).
  • The change of the partner for PKM-PM and PKM-PI, should be executed as soon as possible.
  • The chairman only could be replaced by the team member with the acknowledgment of the Head of the university in Student Affairs.
  • The PKM implementation should be recorded in SIMBelmawa (Logbook, progress report that is attached with proof of expenses and the evidence of implementation).

PKP 2

 

  • It could be performed online and offline depends on the condition amid the COVID-19 pandemic. If the activity is decided to be performed online, the information will be announced 2 weeks before.
  • For online purposes, the team should make the implementation and progress video to be later uploaded to YouTube.
  • The assessor of PKP 2, consists of 2 assessors from Belmawa.

FINAL REPORT AND SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE

  • Without a final report, the selected team will not be nominated in PIMNAS.
  • It is mandatory for PKM-GFK to upload the final report, poster, and video before PIMNAS.
  • NA = 3*NP+0.2*NLK+0.5*NP
  • PKM-GFK, NP = 0.25 Presentation + 0.25

IP IE News: International Program IE will host a Professional Certification Training in Accredited Supply Chain Analyst (ASCA)

The tremendous development of information technology and the internet becomes the impetus of the new way of dealing with logistics and managing inventory and its delivery. Inventory becomes reduced significantly due to integrated supply and demand management. It is no doubt that inventory value is almost more than 50% of assets in organizations that supply goods. Then a well-managed Logistics and inventory will contribute to increasing productivity and finally boost competitive advantages.

The students will work at VTI company in Vietnam as the host company ( https://www.vti.com.vn/en/)
The internship duration program is 4 weeks started from November 16, 2020, through December 12, 2020.
Each student is going to work on a project within a group that collaborates with other Australian students.
The internship programs will work on AI/IoT/Mobile App/Cloud Computing projects.
An interview with the Host company will be conducted in September 2020.
The schedule of the interview will be announced later.
All awardees must commit to the completion of the internship program.
A Withdrawal in the middle of the program must be avoided.
If it finally occurs, the withdrawal will incur a penalty fee of 3x of the awarded scholarship.
Withdrawal from the program could be conducted by submitting a letter of withdrawal to IP no later than 3 days before the interview.
